Anyone use GTAHotels?

This website has a discount rate for the Nick hotel. My kids want to spend a few nights there before heading to WH for the week. I know there are codes right now, but they expire on Feb 12. While this website rate is not as discounted as a code, but it is better than my AAA discount. Has anyone used them and do you have to pay upfront or is it just a CC hold. I understand you can cancel up to 3 or 4 days before (in case a code does come out! ). I've heard you have to wait until 10 days before your trip to confirm with the hotel, so this makes me nervous.

BTW, our dates are April 28-May 1 for the Nick.

I booked with then, and then had to cancel and did so outside the cancellation penalty time and had my credit card reimbursed within 48 hours. Full amount no problems

I used them too. Once was for a stay in Victoria BC. I got the Empress Hotel at an amazing price. The second time, like the poster above, I had to cancel my stay and had my credit card credited very promptly. I always check their site when looking for a hotel. The best offers seem to be if you book far ahead.
