Well, aren't you being smart and Martha Stewartish! I HATE cleaning windows and to clean them right before going to Disney... Never in a million years would that happen! Can't I pay you to come clean mine? You'll be flying right over my house in two weeks.

I hate that about TT. I was hoping that you might squeeze by and make it in time. You'll still have a wonderful trip though. Too bad it wasn't Mission Space though.

Funny, I would have pegged you as a pre-vacation cleaner!! I HATE doing windows. My arms and shoulders are so sore now. Someday when I get rich I am getting a housekeeper!!

I feel bad for these singers!! Imagine how happy people are going to be to see that when they walk over to go on TT and this is what they get??? Disney did SSOOOO bad not fully advertising the close down of it. It's all been rumor and speculation and the people not in the KNOW about it are going to be VERY unhappy by what they see here. I would NOT want to be those singers. How much of a crowd do you think they are actually going to draw???

Several changes to the May hours - From WDW Easy:


Tuesday May 1: No changes.

Wednesday May 2: No changes.

Thursday May 3: Magic Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 11pm from 9am – 10pm. Second Main Street Electrical Parade added at 11pm, in addition to 9pm Parade.

Friday May 4: Magic Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 11pm from 9am – 10pm. Second Main Street Electrical Parade added at 11pm, in addition to 9pm Parade.

Saturday May 5: Magic Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 1am from 9am – 10pm. Second Main Street Electrical Parade added at 11pm, in addition to 9pm Parade. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 10pm from 9am – 9pm. Second Fantasmic added at 10:30pm, in addition to 9pm Fantasmic.

Sunday May 6: No changes.



I'm thinking they are expecting BIG crowds.

I too am a pre-trip-house-cleaner!! I just feel like I want EVERYTHNG taken care of that possibly could be! cuz, when we get back, it's takes me at least a week to be motivated for anything!!!!!! November before last, i even had the tree up and all the presents wrapped under it and ready so when I got home I had NOTHING to do!! it was great!!!
Your weather looks really good!! I bet you don't even get that much rain! We have only had 2 trips out of all the times we've been when we really got stuck in a soaker...other times it's been a slight shower and we ran into a shop and waited it out...

My question is this... it obviously took time to get that act together and get that fancy wall built that blocks the ride off, which tells me they knew about the closing way before now. So why did they wait so long to tell everyone? Make no sense to me.

And btw, I am very much a 'pre-vacation cleaner'. But windows... windows are deep spring cleaning, and I usually end up putting it off until winter.

I remember when you put up the tree before the November trip!!

I'm very happy with the looks of the weather so far. I really don't expect too much rain. The only time we ever saw a set in hours long rain down there was last summer.

In regards to Test Track....I've read that it's either opening on Sept 30 or Oct 1. Oct 1st would make more sense since it's Epcot's 30th anniversary that day (wish I could be there for that....we were "born" the same year!). We'll be missing the reopening by just a few days...totally bummed.

I just checked the park hours for May today as well and noticed some changes. I have 2 families going end of April/early May. Of course I already had all of their park hours/itineraries all printed out and ready to go and I had to go and redo everything.

I have no idea what was going on there, but it sure was irritating!

I HATE to clean. HATE it!! Especially the bathrooms, which I need to do today of course since I spent all of yesterday doing the dang windows.

Your pre-natal nesting should kick in soon. You'll get a surge of energy and want to get everything done NOW!!

Yes, it is all your fault that I did the stupid windows yesterday!! You made me realize just how long it had been. Surprisingly they weren't all that awful bad. It was still a pain though.

The whole TT thing stinks. But yes, at least we should have some really great weather.

That's at least the second time they have changed the early May park hours. And each time they get longer and longer and more shows are added. I'm worried they are expecting large crowds.

Fantasmic is showing each night we are there. And 2 times on Saturday April 28th. What is going on that night that MK & Epcot are open til midnight, MSEP is showing twice, and Fantasmic is showing twice???

Those are the park hours on the WDW website. As I posted yesterday from another site they are saying that they extended the MK parks hours several days that week and added a second MSEP.

So with all that said – I am a little scared that WDW is expecting big crowds that week!!! Those are some long park hours. I don't think I've ever been there when AK was open past about 5-6pm. And MSEP & Fantasmic are showing each night. We are used to going when the parks close at about 9pm at the latest and MSEP & Fantasmic are only showing a few nights a week or so.

I hope we aren't in for a big crowded unpleasant time!!!!!!!!!!!!

How's the Birthday Girl today? Are you sore from the window washing??? Sorry I reminded you how long it had been since they were cleaned.
I hate doing it, just the actual start of it. Once I'm in the process it isn't so bad. And afterwards, there's just something about having them clean-- the house looks sparkly!




The hours.....
I will say if you can stay in the MK late when you go-- stay for the last parade-- it is really not bad crowd wise.
We have had them add parades when we were actually there and when we would do the last show or parade, we had a great time.

Maybe they are just starting out the summer hours? Maybe they thought they'd be nice and extend hours for people since they've got the big rides down in refurb?

Hoping for light crowds for you.

Wow! I was thinking the same thing as you when I was looking over those times. Those are some long hours! I've only ever been in the fall though so maybe that's why they seem long to me.

Don't fret over F! though. I've already checked the times for October and F! is showing every night then too. Maybe they have gone back to nightly showings? But, MSEP and Wishes are only showing twice during the week we are there.

I'd say it does seem that they are expecting some higher crowds, but you guys are really good at taking it slow and doing more than just staying in the parks all day. I'd say just try to plan your resort time around the crowds and head back to SAB in the afternoons when the hoards start rolling into the parks. I know you will make it work. You'll just have to use those FPs a little more. Just remember that you've seen and done it all before, so if you have to miss a few things, it won't be the end of the world. Maybe you'll end up spending more time at BC if it's crowded, and that really can't be a bad thing no matter how you slice it!

I've had several friends go to the world recently and they all said that Mar-May has become a very busy time. They all agreed that it seemed to be more crowded than in late summer. Seems like spring breaks are being taken all during the spring now and not just the week of Easter like it used to be. Personally, I think you need to go back to traveling in the fall. I just happen to know a faithful disser who always goes in the fall that would love to run into you down there one day. She might even be willing to ride RnRC with you if you were there at the same time. On second thought, maybe she'd be more likely to watch Philharmagic with you.

Something just occured to me... maybe you better stick with the spring after all. I have a feeling if that new part of Fantaslyand opens in October, it's going to be BAD news for me on the crowd front!
