Happy Birthday!

I always do online check in and all of my requests have always been met. We typically arrive very early in the day and our requested room is never ready. They have always offered us a different room that is all set and ready, but doesn't meet our requests, and we always decline. We just leave our stuff with bell services and take off for a park!

Here are the park hours from the Disney TA site and they were updated on 4/16 (I have clients going your exact dates!):

Yep -- those are the park hours someone posted on the May thread Monday. Last time I checked the WDW site wasn't updated to those yet.

So what is going on April 28th that MK is open til midnight with MSEP showing twice, Epcot is open til midnight also, and Fantasmic is showing twice???

We have had great experience with online check-in. Each time that we have done online check-in, our room has been ready, and we usually arrive at the resort around 10:30/11AM. The only exception was the BC this past time, but that is only because their entire system was down. However, it did not take long to get the system back, and by the time we had lunch it was back up and our room was ready. We also received a very wonderful upgrade at the BWI last May when we used online check-in.
So, I would definitely give it a try! We have had great luck with it.

I did online check in once-- that time we did the one night stay at POFQ before moving to the Poly? May 2010 I think it was.

I did it only b/c it didn't matter to me where we landed b/c we were going to get there after midnite and leave the next morning. I wanted to see how it worked.

When we got there we had been upgraded to a water view.

I'm sure it was only b/c it was one night.

I didn't do it for the Poly the next day and the only request I had on my entire reservation was "Balcony" and they gave me a room in Fiji with one of those standing room only things. When I saw that, as he was handing me the keys, I told him I needed a balcony and he switched me immediately. I guess I bumped someone else??

Last year at the Grand I didn't do online, but I had called SL and told them I wanted it noted everywhere on my reservation that I *needed* a marina view, upper level. We had a perfect room and got there super late--- 1 am!

So--- IDK what to tell you is the best way to go about it--- doing it or not doing it?

I do know that it is all computerized now, so maybe the online might be better for you if you have requests already in your reservation. They can put them in and bam! You'll hopefully get a perfect room!

I just read online that they are expecting people to be celebrating their graduations over the next two weekends. That could have something to do with it.

A few new dresses I recently picked up:

Here are some things that I got for last years trip that either didn't make it out of the luggage or only got worn around the resort for a little bit. So I guess they get to head back to WDW!

And these 2 dresses got worn last year, but they are so dang comfy that they are coming along again!!

We are hoping to get by with one carry-on each and only one checked bag!

My park bag. I've had it since the 2007 trip. I'd like to get a new one, this one is getting old & worn. But I haven't been able to find anything as lightweight and that I like as much.

DH's park bag ~

He hates to wear a fanny pack and only carries a full size backpack to the parks on trips when we need to lug jackets around (hopefully that won't be the case this time!). So we got this last year since we obviously didn't need jackets in August! It worked out well.
