Disneyland is very different from WDW. If you are a big planner, DL will drive you crazy. They do not get in a hurry for anything. Last year, I think I was able to plan our visit with MHP and park times in July or August. Our trip was the first of October. I was constantly frustrated with DL because they are very slow getting things out. The 2 parks are a great experience and every Disney lover should go. I won't go back because they caused me too much anxiety but I'm glad I went. Don't miss CARS LAND in DCA. It is amazing!!!!Yes. We've decided to skip WDW this year and try Disneyland instead. It's our first time there which is quite exciting yet strangely unfamiliar as there seems to be so much less planning required.
Uh oh. I am a big planner and have a full itinerary when I go to WDW. What do you mean they aren't in a hurry? They don't announce park hours or special events?Disneyland is very different from WDW. Sounds like I stayed at the wrong resort last September...Ok that is just crazy talk. There is more to Disney world than parks. Just ask the couple who helped us polish off a 12 year old Balvenie by the quiet pool last September........I hope they made it back to their room...

That's interesting. So people stay at the resorts without going to the parks?
My husband and I stay 4 or 5 nights and will usually only go 1 day to the parks. We are hoarding our no-expiration tickets like you wouldn't believe.[/QUOTE
Where do you usually stay? I'm kind of surprised because the resorts are pretty expensive compared to comparable offsite hotels. Is it the theming that brings you there?
