Anyone think 4 for 3 will extend thru 2nd half 2009?

Just wondering if anyone thinks this buy 4 get 3 deal will be offered for next fall??? We are planning for August and would love that deal!

I would love for it to be extended. I'm planning a honeymoon to Disney for August and I wouldn't complain if we could save some money on the trip. But I'm not going to get my hopes up. I'm not to optimistic and will believe it when I see it.

There is almost always a discount during that time period so I would be very surprised, considering the economy, if SOMETHING isn't available.

Oh yes. Disney’s numbers are down drastically. The mere fact that Disney is offering not only the 4/3 deal in March, but an additional $200 is just amazing to me. That’s Disney’s high season. That’s Spring Break time. Although Easter is in April – March is usually booked solid. Disney is used to Disnuts like us booking vacation packages as soon as the next year packages are released. Well, that didn’t happen for 2009. People are unsure about their finances and a vacation is the one thing that is put on the back burner. All of this is my opinion of course. Admittedly, I do have selfish motives for this thinking – I want to go at the end of July. Oh, in 2003 when business was low for Disney they offered this same 4/3 free deal. It was extended during the summer. The following year they offered 5/2 free and the year after that no more free days where offered. Business picked up after that.

My guess is they will continue to offer lots of great deals, in several different versions, through 2009 because the economy both here & abroad is not going to turn around immediately.

And if you're going late August, you might want to watch for possible Free Dining instead of the 4/3 deal. If they offer it like 2008's promotion, if will become available mid-April through mid-June to book dates from late August through end of September.

When the 4/get 3 deal came out, I priced our package out at rack rate, at AAA room discount rate, at 4/get 3 rate and I also tried for what it would be for free dining...rack rate was of course expensive, AAA would have saved us $370, the 4/get 3 did save us $996. However, if we could have gotten Free Dining instead of those other discounts, that would have saved us $1120 on the same package (FRee Dining wasn't being offered for our dates in May, of course, I just did the math out of curiousity. We are getting Free Dining for a planned Sept. 2009 trip.)

So Free Dining might save you even more than the 4/get 3 deal (this is assuming you want the dining plan, of course. And it also depends on how large your group is, ages of kids- if any - and which resort you want, too.)

Guess my point is, do the math regardless. What seems like the best deal is not always the cheapest!

Also hoping for discounts throughout the year. Worried about spending the money, but planning way ahead for Oct 2009. Would love free dining through Visa for fall but a big 40% off pin will work just fine.
I know I will adjust dates if needed to get the best poss. deal.

They don't do a lot of codes or discounts in December but I'm hoping for one anyway! Or free dining! Anything so we can go back!
