I don't take Meridia. I do take cymbalta which is a bit similar in that it blocks the dumping of seritonin from the blood stream. I have a decrease appetite from that alone. My brother took meridia for 10 months and lost about 40 pounds. He didn't like some of the sleeplessness he had.
