Anyone staying at BLT opening week?

I got tired of waiting for the check in button to magically appear on the DVC site next to the vacation details (where it's supposed to be), so I called MS and she said to go to...

We're arriving early afternoon on the 4th and just hanging out at BLT until dinner. Anyone want to get together for a quick DISmeet and 1st day photo op? If we can get in, we'll probably be up in the BLT lounge... can't wait to see how that's gonna work...

not sure what time we will be there...hoping they might slide and let us checkin early? anyone have experience with opening day of a resort like this?

i really wish we knew what they would be doing for this event. we want to do the parks but dont want to miss anything

We're getting in on the 3rd and staying at the Contemporary for the night. Just too excited to wait another day! We're going to try checking in a 12:01 am on the 4th, just to see what they say. It's not like they are going to have to wait for people to check out and clean. LOL

I think a DISmeet is a great idea. We are definitely going to try and get to the lounge on the 4th for the fireworks. Let's all storm the lounge together!

I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to check in until their computer system switches from one day to the next. Doesn't that happen around 4 am?

I can't even get online check in to work. It keeps telling me online check in isn't available for BLT.

I am able to start online checkin for Aug 4 BLT stay. But I'm waiting until I get there to checkin. Just want to do it at the front desk. Don't know why.

I spoke to my guide and he said they have yet to me notified of anything happening.

We will be there the 4th...my 86 year old Grandmother (Mom to us) will also be going (though she wants to remain at the resort...Glad she is going with us, will be magical!)!

We are currently staying at Kidani Village, I can't wait till tomorrow!! We rode by BLT tonight on the way to MK. All rooms were dark, but that won't last for too long now!! We have to go to the CR front desk to check in , right??

Yes, BLT check in is at the Contemporary front desk. I did the online check in, so I'll see how that worked tomorrow!!!
