Anyone stayed at Park Vue lately?

I've read that the Park Vue Inn has been upgraded but want to hear from people who have been there recently. We stayed there in 2007. We liked rooms well enough, and the people at the front desk were very nice. They signed for an ECV for my dad and even called the company to pick it up when we were done with it. We especially like the proximity to the crosswalk, especially since my dad was on an ECV.

The only real complaint we had was the housekeeping service. We made coffee every morning and they often didn't clean the coffee pot or replace the dirty mugs. We would leave them in plain sight on the bathroom counter but the housekeeper wouldn't touch them. We had a 2-bedroom suite with 3 beds, but they consistently left towels for only 2 people. My sister was using the bedroom and we had our two boys in the main room with us, making it five people. We had to request more towels every single day.

That was 3 1/2 years ago and I'm hoping those issues have been taken care of. We're planning another trip for this June and my dad will be renting an ECV again. My parents asked if we could stay at the Park Vue because of the location.

Any recent experiences would be appreciated! Thanks.:)

Yes- we stayed there in Aug. Rooms are nicely updated and clean. Do a search for Park Vue Inn and you'll find lots of recent posts! :)

BTW: LOVE the bunny in your profile pic! We had one that looked almost just like that (he had a little more black) and he thought he was a dog! He played with our lab like he was the same size as him.

We are staying there in March. So far I've heard really good things and am looking forward to the stay. I'm wondering more about the "social hour" at night...some have said it could be a small dinner. Sounds like a good deal! :goodvibes

For the social hour, they had something different each night. I only remember what they had 2 of the nights we were there: enchiladas one night and a pasta dish another. The front desk has a sign that says what's on the menu for that day.
We never tried it but thought it was a pretty amazing thing to offer an awesome bfast buffet, warm cookies, fruit and ice cold bottled water during the day in the lobby AND this social hour.

Wow! That's amazing! Eating more at "home" will save more money for me and DD to spend having fun at the parks! Although we'll do our fair share of eating there, too :rotfl:

Thanks for the info!

That bunny is my friend Ralphie. Right now he's peering out at me from his Bunny's Magic Dream Cottage. It's a little cardboard house that my sister gave my bunnies for Christmas. Ralphie has claimed it as his own and likes to sit in it when I let him out of his cage. If it's not his turn to play and he sees another bunny in it (we have 4 rescues, including Ralph), he gets a little snippy and starts rattling his cage to show his displeasure! He's our oldest bunny and tends to think he's the king so I just let him have his delusions!:)

My Family and I are looking forward to staying there in April. We decided last time ( 3-yrs. ago) that we would stay somewhere close and this place has had a lot of great reviews from this board.

We stayed there over the weekend. We happened to stumble upon it while trying to get a last minute reservation for Saturday night and they happened to have a really great rate for the busy weekend.

It was a pleasant surprise. The people were really nice and they even had water, fruit and cookies in the lobby while we checked in.
We had a room with a queen bed and bunk beds, even though it was just the two of us. They even gave us a complimentary gift basket with wine, water, and fruit. The queen bed was really comfortable, the room was clean and they gave us enough shampoo and lotion for 6 people! And of course it was really convenient being right at the entrance of Disneyland.

Hello all. Just found this hotel on Expedia at a good rate for a short-notice trip, and the description does not speak to the breakfast buffet or social hour. Does anyone know if either are a perk for all guests, or is it only inclusive of certain rates?

All guests! :thumbsup2

We stayed for 4 nights last month I highly recommend it we will be staying there from now on it's clean and nice and the beds are so comfy!

Wow this thread is awesome!
We have park vue booked prior to our upcoming cruises in April/May and I didn't even know about the social hour! I booked it like a long time ago LOL

Thanks for this thread!

We love it there. We'd be staying there again in March if we weren't splurging on the GCH. I like the fact that it's right across. I know most people on here are HOJO lovers, but the longer walk is the deal breaker for me. You can't beat the location!
