Anyone sailing on 6/21/03 Magic

Hey everyone for our last cruise my mom had gotten a gift basket for us. The girls got a memories box that was like a photo album on the side and the boys got a message in a bottle my brother who was 10 at the time had fun thinking someone in china would read it. Myself, I got the memories box and i have all my stuff I got from the cruise saved in there from pictures to the snowglobe I bouoght in the store
I really hope she was gonna get us one again this year but that may be some thing she talks to all of you about not wanting me to know bout it

This snow is soooooooo bad if we use up any more days on it we might not go on the cruise since we'll be in school but it all depends on where the people wanna put it in on the calender

Hi Kari,

Oh man I hope you don't get hit with extra days. Several years ago we had something similar happen due to a severe (hurricane force winds) spring storm in May. So many days were used that many districts were facing this problem. The legislature was able to make a special declaration that eliminated that problem. It was deemed that it would be a hardship to the high school kids (summer work) and the tourism industry (workers not available).

Not sure which coordinator you are referring to but I don't work at MSU. I work for Davenport University. Most of the country has heard of MSU and U of M but we actually have LOTS of universities in Michigan.

I am OKWgolfer's son (16) I will be 17 by the cruise. I already see that there will be some teens around my age which is cool because our last cruise I didn't really meet anyone. So if ya know any teens let me know maybe we can make a meeting point on the ship or something I just don't want to do the whole thing again alone.

Our DS (Andrew) if very close to your age. He will be just a month short of 16 (hey in the big scheme of things a YEAR is close LOL!) I'll let him know you'll be there.

Hey that's awesome that I know now of two people around my age that is going. Um...I am not exactly sure where we could meet but now that I have librtygrls's email I will email you and we can work on a meeting spot this time we won't wait till the last couple of days to meet someone. Not sure if they are part of this list or not but Terri & Steve & son from the DC area are not going. Terri was posting a while ago but had an email from her a couple of weeks that life circumstances are too uncertain for them at the moment and they have cancelled.

Kari - I think that a meet up on deck 10 (starboard side of the ship which is also the terminal side) at the sail away party might be a good place. Not as crowded as deck 9 but you can still hear the music, etc. Maybe right over the center/Goofy pool area?

Andrew must be in the middle of a "very important" video game - I just called him and didn't get a response Ryan. I don't know his email address but will suggest he contact you and Kari.

We will also be on this one. We are doing sort of a family reunion with our oldest daughter and her husband, our ds 19 and other dd 17. After this cruise we are throwing them off the boat and sending them to OKW and dh and I are staying on the ship for week 2. Can't wait.......

Yeah sorry about the confusion I had posted that one but then my parents told me about this post so I just forgot about mine. I went on the Wonder 4-day cruise to Nassau and Castaway Cay and I think somewhere else but I don't remember. It was fun though but I didn't do a lot of stuff with the teens mostly I took advantage of all the free food or just walked around and played some b-ball.(even though I am not very good) Anyways I just wanted to know what kinda stuff there was to do on the Magic.

I told Andrew I had PMd you guys with his email address. Be patient if you don't hear back right away - he usually checks his email at school when he has time during his computer class. So it may be a week or so before he does - although knowing there are people writing may spur him to do so more frequently!

Ok, for the teens in our group, especially those that have sailed as teens before, I have a Common Grounds question.

I was just looking at the 360 degree photo on the DCL website and it looks like there is some sort of beverage machine and a snack bar sort of set up in there. Are there actually snacks and beverages available in Common Grounds? If so any details - like cost?

Well when I went I didn't really hang-out there all that much but you are right there is a bar there that serves smoothies or something like them and I think regular cokes. I don't remember snacks though but I could be wrong. Prices I am not sure but none of it is free. Hope that helps a little.
