Anyone planning for 2014??

Thanks for the tip about Vistana ~ I also kept getting different prices and couldn't figure out why ~ I bet that is why! If I could get a suite with a full kitchen, that would be great; I bet it would be less than a 2 bedroom (which does have a full kitchen). I have made note to check the prices at WBC through VU and VS. ONe of them I have already priced, whichever has the pricing on the website. I guess it still seemed high, although still much cheaper than our last stay (at the Poly). Some people just have posted some really great deals they have gotten! I just need to realize that we are going at a busy time, not the value time we have often gone during in the past.

Do you know any other sites/agencies to book Vistana from? Or do I just have to go directly through Sheraton?

I still am a little nervous about the lack of Disney magic ~ the rooms off site are just, well, rooms, lol! Not all mickey-ed out. That's why I at least want to stay at a place with a kind of wow factor from the outside; and so far seeing the pics of the common grounds for WBC, Caribe, and SVV have impressed me.

I don't know of any to book Sheraton through. You might try VRBO. I've just been pricing them directly through their website.

IKWYM about "Disney Magic", but remember, you can make some magic too, particularly for your kids. I don't know how old they are, but you could always leave plush M&M in the room for them to find, sprinkle a tiny bit of pixie dust on their pillow, etc. There are lots of ways you can create the magic no matter where you stay! :wizard:

Speaking of where to say, we would love to stay AoA LM room... I just hope it has a discount next spring 2014. Even a small one... :bitelip:

You are right! I know we will have fun wherever we are! We have been fortunate that we have gone the last 3 years in a row. The next time we go, it will be 2 years so we will just be thrilled to be there! My oldest and middle ask all the time when we are gonig back. The new thing is I have to measure them all the time to see if they will be tall enough for certain rides. I have 3 girls; my oldest is 7 and is hoping to grow 3.5 inches to be able to do the 48" rides (she is very petitie, so I'm not holding my breath, but maybe?!); my middle will be 4 tomorrow! She is so excited to be able to ride Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain next time (she should make it, less than 2 inches to go, lol)! And my youngest will be 2 in March.

I've added a place to research ~ Windsor Hills. I found a few that have a cute, Disney themed room. Just started, so I don't know how far and stuff it is, but the price was great (3 bedroom townhome for $105-115 a night)!

I hope you get a discount!! I can tell you, with 3 girls, if AoA had done Little Mermaid suites, we would definitely be staying there ~ at least for a few nights of our trip!

if you do, I think you will love it! We stayed there in September a week after the rooms opened and I was very impressed. We will probably try to stay there again - although I'd like to maybe try one of the suites - the last 2 trips have been all princesses, etc. but now DS will be a little older next one so I'd like to incorporate some boy themes for him as well.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! :goodvibes

I hope the oldest will grow enough so she can do the larger rides. It will make her feel like a "big girl"! :teeth:

I know absolutely nada about WH. That quote sounds fantastic though!

Thanks, guys!

Though, if I had a choice, I'd rather AoA not have a discount if it meant the Mine Coaster would be up and running. :hyper:

I am planning already for January 2014! LOL and I haven't even taken my January 2013 trip yet...LOL :rotfl:

We leave in 11 days for this year's trip and then we are planning on going next January at the same time but for one additional day :cool1:

:welcome: to our growing group!

TWO trips in the works? You have to come back and share details once you get back so we can all live vicariously through you! ::yes::

Have any thoughts on where you'll be staying next January? That seems to be the hot topic of conversation lately.

Our plan is for Port Orleans Riverside next January, this year AoA, Cars Suite :goodvibes

We left RIGHT before that rain hit in May 09. Literally, we drive, and before we got to Dayton, we were in the pouring rain. We watched the weather and I felt so horrible for all of you there during all that. At that point, we hadn't experienced a drop of rain in either of our trips (May '07 and '09). Well, we got it the next time - in March of '11. Not as bad as that, but 3 days of all out rain, thunderstorms, Tornado watches, etc. Very little rain again in March '12. Hoping for another rain-free '14, but I'll still take rain over the snow back home, lol!

I was really worried because of all the forecast but I just refused to reschedule LOL It actually wasn't that bad, the day we drove in was horrible, the rain so bad I couldn't see the rd, we stopped off to the side for a bit. It let up some and we made the way to the resort and got soaked getting to our room LOL It managed to stop and we headed to downtown disney and ate dinner and tooled around.

Every day after that there was some rain but someone was watching out for us because 9 out of 10 times it rained after we went in for our adr's or inside for a ride. Only time I can recall getting really rained on was our night for Fantasmic, but the show went on, but I wish we had left and skipped ;) but we know next time not to bother with it. Though I may enjoy it more in the not so pouring down rain:lmao:

I see you're from Alabama ~ me, too!! We will also go in May 2014 (very possibly first week of June), but we will wait until school is out. Not sure of the schedule, but if it is like it has been, it will be that Friday or so before Memorial DAy. So I'm just trying to figure out how Memorial Day will affect the crowds ~ if we should go that first week after school, or wait until the first week of June. Any thoughts?

Hi! We're in the Rocket City area ;) North Alabama, always nice to run into another bama person. I was going to wait, but decided since the prices go up after Mem. Day, we'll just miss the last few days. Our schools never do anything those days anway, clean out desks etc, so I figure Disney is better than that :woohoo:

When we went in 09 I really did expect crazy crowds but it also rained A LOT while we were there so I am sure that had some bearing on crowds. It did pick up some after Mem Day but I think a lot of schools are in session until early June. We're going to go back around the same time frame unless something drastic happens, so I am hoping for a repeat of not to busy!

Hey there! My friend & I are planning for May at AoA, too (Little Mermaid Room)! :wave2:

Awesome:banana: I think the LMR are so cute, I wish they had suites! My 3 girls would LOVE them!

Today my middle princess turned 4!! Really don't know how that happened :confused3 But seriously, thought I would share a cute story that some Disney folks would appreciate!

I was taking her picture this morning and I told her to hold up 4 fingers. She got a little confused so I had to show her. Her eyes lit up and she got so excited and aid "only 1 more finger until we go to Disney World!!":rotfl: She's obviously heard a few times recently that we will go back to WDW when she is 5!

We are in the Auburn area! And I see you also have 3 girls! Glad to hear the crowds weren't too bad in late May and around Memorial day. That is a good idea about just missing the last few days; they aren't doing anything those days here either. I might have missed it, but where are you staying?

That is cute! It's funny how they understand and the things little ones come up with. On Christmas we were packing to head home and DH laughed that the car was so packed it looked like we were going back to Disney. DS2 heard this and started yelling "go Disney, Go Disney!" so in response DD4 grabs his hand and tells him "Not today, but mommy & daddy will take us back there soon." DH and I just looked at each other and lost it!

We're going in September of 2014! I'm glad we're in 2013 cause it feels better to say "We're going to WDW next year" instead of "We're going the next, next year in 2014"! :cool1: At least I know my sister is excited about that. We've also pretty much changed our mind a few times as to where we're staying. I think this week it's the Poly.

Awww Happy Belated Birthday to your little princess! pixiedust:

We've changed our minds about where we're staying a million times, also. At first, we were absolutely sure we were staying on-site. It went from WL to POP to POR ... and as of today, we're 100% sure we're staying off-site. :lmao:

Yes, it is so much better to say we are going next year!! We stayed at the Poly for our last trip and loved it! I'm sure you would have a great time there!

Hi! We just decided on our WDW trip last night - tentatively the week after Thanksgiving in 2014. FOREVER away! I'm a DLR vet, though I've been to WDW 3 times. The WDW section is FAR more overwhelming than the DLR one is! Fortunately I have a LOT of time to do my research!!
