Yes! planning December 2014 either first or second week! Just don't think my husband knows yet! :rolleyes1

We'll be celebrating our 25th Anniversary in 2014. Not yet sure if it will be at the Poly or POFQ, but either way will be pixiedust: Magical.

We went in May for the first time as a family and although my DBF wanted to give us this trip, he not being a huge Disney fan made the trip a little difficult. :lmao: I lowered my expectations, but it was too stressful. :goodvibes So, I have decided that next trip it will just be me and the girls, but I want the baby out of diapers (I can deal with a light stroller). In August 2014, oldest DD will be 6 1/2 and baby will be 3 1/2. I was hoping to utilize YES tickets but it seems most programs don't start until 7. I do think free dining will be the way we go. :)

Hope this thread stays alive so we can chat about our crazy 2 year out vacations. ;)

I need to get through my October 2013 trip first, but Im starting to formulate a vacation plan for 2014. I've always wanted to do a split stay with a cruise in the middle. I'm thinking ASMu or AoA then 3 night cruise then a few nights at the Poly or BC/YC. I'd like to go in early December to see Christmas stuff, or in May because thats my favorite month to visit Disney :)

We just got back Sat. and we decided to go back Oct. 2014. I can't really get excited because its so far off. What are you guys doing?

We will be there (hopefully!) in October 2014, too! We are planning on taking some time to drive down to go see some friends in AL and northern FL, and then getting to Disney a day or two after Columbus day. :) I am trying not to be too excited, but I can't help it! :cool1:

I would love to hit up free dining, but our dates won't be flexible due to DH's school schedule. Hope it all works out like you want it to! And I am so there with you...hope this thread stays alive! Are we crazy to be planning trips over 2 years out??? Nah, we are just Dis-ers..... :)

Although my girls are young and only the oldest will be in school at that time, I would rather not take her out to go on vacation. I'd rather go for 10 days and take our time in the heat.

I don't know about you, but I certainly could not talk to anyone in my life about a Disney trip 2 years out. :lmao: If I don't do it here, they will commit me. :rotfl2:

We have now decided that our next trip to the world will be in Jan or Feb 2014. Our last one was in Dec 2011 :goodvibes

Has anyone else started the trip planning for 2014?

I'm planning on going either Feb 2014 or June 2014 (big gap, I know!)
DBF and I aren't sure if we can get away from our college classes for Feb, so if we can't then we are going early June.
I have pretty much everything planned. The resort, where we are going to eat, etc. I know it all will change though! :rotfl: It's just fun to plan.

I have actually created a mock itinerary using Aug 2012 dates. I will probably create one for Aug 2013 when those dates come up. It really is fun. :)

Does anyone know where they will be staying?

I'm a big POFQ fan so I'm hoping we will be able to swing it, if not, POP or AOA will work since it will just be me and the girls. I have 2 items high on my list to help me decide. One is transportation. I don't want to have to share buses. The times we have stayed in POFQ, maybe 2 times we shared with POR. The buses at POP were fantastic other than the waiting outside in the line queue but our waits were never long. The second is food. The food court at POP had so much more variety than POFQ and with how my youngest DD eats now at almost 16months, food will be important. :lmao:

Since I'm hoping for free dining, the quick service would work just fine for us so staying at a value may just serve it's purpose. If I find that the girls want to do character meals, POFQ would be the way to go. I also intend on spending those hot afternoons at the pool so that's also something else to consider.

Thank goodness I still have 2 years to plan so that by then I can actually ask for input from the oldest. The baby will have had no recollection of going at 13 months. :lmao:

Yeap we are planning to go March or June of 2014. Were planning to stay at the new resort the Art of Animation. Were gonna celebrate my son's 15 birthday. :cool1:

1st time posting after a few months of lurking.

DH and I are planning our 1st trip in 2014. DS will be 8 and DD will be 5. Our plan is to go for 2 weeks. Spend about 7 days in DW and another 7 days exploring Florida.

My first plan was to go for 8 days and spend 6 of those days in DW with 2 down days. We were going to go the last week of January to avoid crowds and get better pricing. Now that my DH has decided if we go he wants to go for 2 weeks and explore Florida I am thinking that we should go in April when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy the beaches.

Trouble is I can't go the first 2 weeks of the month due to work. So that leaves Jan 17-31 as one option (will weather be too cold?) or April 12 - 26 as the other option (Easter being April 20th that year). I hear the week before Easter is very busy so I am not excited about these weeks. We could go Feb 14 - 28 (Presidents week) or March 14-28 (spring break).

Any advice on when we should plan on going?

I'm glad to see this thread is still around ~ I haven't been very active on the boards lately b/c it is too depressing not having a trip planned! We are planning on going in 2014, though ~ I can't wait!! The school calendar will have a big impact on when we go; we aren't opposed to taking my oldest out of school for a few days, but would prefer not to. We also don't to go during a busy spring break, however, we might simply b/c my youngest will turn 3 in March 2014, and it would be nice to go before her 3rd birthday (since we are a family of 5 we will have more options of where to stay and save some money)!

I belong to a group of mommies that I met while pregnant with my twins. We all have October / November 2009 babies. the 17 of us, plus our families are planning a late October (Halloween is on a Friday) plus that first week of November trip for our kiddo's 5th birthdays.

I will be taking my very first trip EVER to WDW with my family in 17 days and I have been bitten by this Disney bug so bad that I am already beginning the planning of that trip for 76 people (plus any subsequent additions to families).

How fun!! I have a mommy group as well for my january 2009 baby! We have had a few meet-ups (Baltimore, Chicago, NC) and have actually talked about doing Disney for the 5th birthday as well. If you don't mind my asking, what are y'all planning? Are you staying in the same hotel? Will each family do their own thing and then meet up for certain activities or certain times?

We homeschool, so taking the kids out of school is never a problem here! :)
Yeah, and DH is already calling me obsessed, even though we have 2+years to go! I figure the more I plan, the more fun we will have, right???? :lmao:

Me too!! I have planned a couple times...turns out it is going to cost a little more than I planned (especially taking into account prices being raised a couple times!). I think it was a productive plan....I know we need to work on saving a bit more!:thumbsup2

We hope to stay in a pirate room at CBR, but I am not counting on being able to afford that. If not, probably ASMo or POP. :)

Looking at your dates, your best bet for crowds being low (which is always hit or miss anyway as far as I can tell) is January. Planning around a holiday almost always mean larger crowds. However, if you want to go to the beach, closer to April might be best. You might get decent weather in January though, too. Does that help? (or just confuse you more??? :lmao:)

Any advice on when we should plan on going?

Having never been over a holiday/school break, I can only base my opinion on what I have read here on the boards and the consensus seems to be that if you are able to go a during slower time (in your case January), go then.

I figure the more I plan, the more fun we will have, right???? :lmao:

I agree! The more kinks we can work out now and the more scenarios we can think of, the less surprises will creep up and the more prepared we will be...or at least that's what I'm telling myself. :rotfl:

Just checking in to say hi! :) Anyone have any must do's on their list of eating? I can't decide! We usually do one character meal per trip and eat CS the rest of the time. We have done Tusker House and Chef Mickey's. We do not have girls, so princesses are out of the question. Any suggestions??

Being that the baby is still tiny, I'm not worry about food right now. Once I decide if we will stay at a value or moderate and see how the girls eat in 2 years, I will think about it. :lmao:

We're planning on going in 2014 too :goodvibes I've even started my planning journal on here because I'm giving my Husband's ears a rest :lmao:
