Anyone own Disney Stock?

It is in a bit of a free fall, loosing 3% so far today. News this morning.

* Walt Disney Co.'s net profit fell 27 percent on a
loss at its movie studio on flops like "Dark Water" and "The
Brothers Grimm" and several charges.

I am sure it will come back.

We do but we didn't get it as an investment more just so we could get the cool stock certificate LOL.

We do, but not that much. Something like 15 shares and it has never done very good since we bought it. We just bought it too high. Too bad, if we had bought it at it's lowest we would be doing better.

Oh well.

However my intel stock has been doing nicely!

It normally all evens out in the end. As long as you don't sell it doesn't really mater and if you do you can take a loss on your taxes and that helps.

I bought 10 for my Daughter last year for her first Christmas so I am not really worried. I have a little in my RSP but not enough to make a difference.

I got that one last year...2004, as a Christmas gift for DD. Don't recall the date of issue of the series but purchased it last year for sure.

Ahh I see...the ones worth purchasing are the vintage ones...

We got ours back in 98 I have it put away awaiting a frame lie many of our other Disney pictures etc. I will have to dig it out I am not sure what it even looks like anymore LOL.

Do you get any benefits (apart from the cool certificate)?

At DLP you get 15% off bookings, food etc. with a minimum holding (500), and they're about 12p a share at the moment - bargain!!
