Anyone on the Sept 26, 2004 Wonder??

You all are toooo funny! I'm cracking up.

Kris...so glad Tody is safe at home! Our Casper is a runner so we've had numerous trips around the neighborhood. We are leaving him here with a sitter and I'm always concerned she'll leave the door open and he will escape. I told my daughter that I think you have a 12yo DD. She is very excited to meet her.

Mary....I can't imagine how excited/eager/anxious you must be. I have a feeling that when you see your DH you won't need a green Mickey Head for us to know who you are. You'll be the one beaming!:sunny:

I'm off to pack. Looking forward to Sunday!:thewave:

IRONING BOARD??? What's that???
23_1_15.gif

I am HOOKED on the wrinkle release spray or the ole listen for the buzzer and pull it right out school of thought!!! However, it is looking like I'm going to have to break down and actually use the board! OH ~ THE HORROR!!!

...wrinkle release??? I'm still living in the dark ages I guess. LOL I'm laughing at your post. The horror isn't in the ironing, its in the clothes that I am ironing -- 2 sizes larger than last summers'! ARG!

Alicia
I am feeling your pain! So much for dieting this summer! My clothes are larger this year too! UGHHHHHH!

Same here, and I intend to try everything that DCL has to offer in the restaurants!!! :teeth:

Downy puts it out. Spray a little on smooth over/tug a bit with your hands and PRESTO - wrinkles are pretty much gone. Or I spray and toss in the dryer for about 5 mins. Mind you, it won't get out crease-like folds, but it make things wearable without looking messy! Gotta love it!!!

Hubby called this morning and he will be leaving Kuwait shortly for Germany, then to Atlanta and then home - arrival is 2:30pm tomorrow! YEAH!!! Ok - EXHALE now... (that was me talking to me) I was holding my breathe - cause, you know, with the military, sometimes - you've just got to!!

Off to run last minute errands! Have a great day!!!

Been keeping my fingers crossed for you since I read your post last week.

Thanks for the tip on the release -- target here I come again!

Cannot believe how close we are! Kris must be at WDW or at least on her way by now.
WOW! It has gone by quickly.:earseek:

Hi all!
3 days and hours to go!
Alipom, Alicia has graciously extended an invitation to include all of us if we would like to participate, in a memorium for Sophie, Emma and Amanda. Here is a portion of her PM to me:

I have ordered a wreath from Shirley (in memorandum of Sophie, Emma and Amanda, although I did not know them personally, they have touched my heart) that I had intended to privately cast from deck 4 with a moment of silence to honor them. I would like to extend an invitation to you and fellow Dis'ers to join me

We would still meet in the Promenade after the Safety Drill but then head up to Deck 4 for this memorial. Alicia will give more specifics.

Lisa, thank you for extending the invitation to fellow DIS'ers, and for your kindness. It will be a pleasure to meet you, and other DIS'ers at the DISmeet (I can't wait!)

It will be very nice to have the company of any of the DIS'ers who would like to join me. -- Following the DISmeet at the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3, on the way up to the Sail Away Party, I will be casting a wreath from Deck 4, in memorandum of Sophie, Emma and Amanda. I am hoping that security will not prevent the wreath from being cast off of deck 4. If security prevents, I will come up with a resolution for that, and will still plan to spend a moment on deck 4 to pay respect to Sophie, Emma and Amanda, and to reflect on continued strength for David, Lynda and Mike. The wreath was ordered from Shirley (The Perfect Gift), which makes this wreath all the more special. Shirley, in her kindness, gave me a very nice discount for this wreath (she is as wonderful and kind as the posts on the Dis claim).

Again, you are all welcome. I look forward to seeing the green Mickey Paint Chips, paper buttons, and fellow DISers at the DISmeet.

I will be in Stateroom 1058, and have made a couple of door signs that I am hoping remain on the door: A porthole with Mickey 'n gang, and a "Goofy for President" door sign.

Have a safe journey to the ship everybody!

WOW! I finally found you guys! I read these boards EVERY DAY, and I never see any posts for our cruise!

I just posted on a few other topics, and somebody replied and sent me this thread! YIPPEE!

I was wondering where everybody has been hiding! I love the idea about the green MM heads, but I don't know if I'll be able to get everyone, or even myself, up to the Prom. Louge. I know they will all think I'm crazy when I tell them what I want to do!

What do you all think about this Jeanne? We have been praying over this hurricane, and I'm hoping it will be a MIRACLE storm and just diminish and/or disappear! LOL...

We are heading out from Atlanta on Saturday a.m. around 4 to get the Disney fever in gear--driving to Orlando to take advantage of the Sept. rates. Got a room at Pop Century. Will do Beaches 'n Cream, Downtown Disney, and a character breakfast on Sunday before the cruise....that should get the two kids in gear (7, 4 boys).

I am drving everyone nuts with, "Do you know what will be doing next week at this time?"

It's great to find other "nuts" on this board too--love all the WAL-MART posts! LOL....Each trip, I say--this is going to be my LAST Wal-Mart trip before the cruise...I think I've got everything now! :) YEAH, RIGHT!

Okay, we'll be off in three days!!! Is everyone ready? :earseek:

Need anyones help. Swear I read somewhere that the weight restriction on suitcases is 40 lbs. We are flying down so know the airline has one for 50 lbs. Want to do this right once!
Any thoughts?

I am sure some of you are already in route to WDW, but for anyone still online and at home....Are you worried about this hurricane? I woke up and all of a sudden Jeanne is now set to hit the bahamas this weekend and northern/central florida on Sunday or Monday. I am in a panic. If anyone has heard different please tell me.

Lookingforward ~ Yep, feeling the same panic this morning! We are leaving Sat. and staying overnight at a hotel near the airport ~ we have a very early flight on Sun. morning. How will I know if the cruise is changed/canceled......no internet access where we will be? Call Disney continously??????

I thought Jeanne was going west out to sea? I am really trying to be positive and know everyone else is also, but that sick feeling still creeps in!

GO AWAY JEANNE, KARL, LISA, AND IVAN boooooooo

Here we go again!!! This is getting SO old... why can't Mother Nature just leave us (in FL) ALONE?? I bet the Disney folks are starting to freak out also...

It's just going to be the wait-and-see mentality for us... at least we have the 'luxury' (if you can call it that) to hold out until Sunday morning and see what is happening since we are in FL.

Guess it's back to the pixie dust and prayers routine again!

~Mary

Even if the cruise is changed/canceled ~ you will get to see your husband. That's a nice bonus for your family!!!!!

Pixie Dust and Prayers :grouphug: To Everyone on 9/26 Wonder

Okay, now I am starting to believe that this hurricane buss is all my fault!!! We were originally scheduled for the Wonder Sept 5th. Frances hit that day, so our cruise got re-scheduled for Sept 26 Wonder. Guess what, that is the day for Jeanne now. I also live on the spacecoast here in Florida, and not only have to worry about making this cruise, but worrying about my house, etc.
We need all prayers, pixies dust, you name it to take this storm out to sea now!!!!

Turn Jeanne, turn :worried:

ironically, I was jsut on Southwest's web site to look this up, since I will now be packing for "rain". ARG! The dreams I had last night; I guess I was worrying about this storm in my sleep!

Checked Baggage
Screening and Identification: Checked baggage will be screened and is subject to physical inspection as mandated by the TSA. Customers may be required to present identification. Regulations require name identification on the outside. We recommend placing identification on the inside of baggage, too. Name labels are available at Southwest Airlines ticket counters. Once you've checked your luggage, make sure you receive a separate claim check for each piece of baggage you've checked. Check to make sure that the city shown on the claim check(s) matches your final destination.
Baggage Allowance: For each ticketed Customer, Southwest allows three (3) checked pieces with size limitations for each individual piece.
Excess Baggage: Excess baggage will be charged at the rate of $40.00 each for the fourth (4th) and fifth (5th) pieces of checked baggage; $60.00 each for the sixth through ninth (6-9) pieces checked; and $110.00 for each piece checked thereafter.
Weight and Size Allowance: Maximum weight is 70 pounds and maximum size is 62 inches (length + width + height) per checked piece of luggage. Overweight items from 71 to 100 pounds and oversized items (i.e., surfboards, bicycles, vaulting poles) will be accepted for a charge, ranging from $35.00 to $70.00 per item. Any item weighing more than 100 pounds must be shipped as Air Cargo.
