Anyone not park hop?

There is too much to do at each park so we don't hop.
It also can take a long time waiting for a bus.
If you get the dinning plan Epcot has so many choices I could see hoping from one park to there.

We don't hop. When hoppers were automatic we found we never used them. When we had AP's we found we didn't hop. So if we buy regular tickets we forgo the hopping option because we found we never use it.

I think we may have hopped twice in all our visits.

I have never hopped either. We just stay at one park for the day. By the time we get back to my resort we want to swim and have dinner.

In the past when we've gone we've hopped, but it wasn't an extra charge back then. We didn't have any kids and we only went during slow seasons. Next year we are not hopping. We'll be taking the kids for the first time, and thanks to TourGuideMike I have everything organized to my satisfaction and don't feel like we need to hop to maximize our week.

I don't like to hop. I think it's too time consuming and I just like the idea of spending an entire day at one park. A good solution to spending the morning at Animal Kingdom is to spend the afternoon at Downtown Disney. We tried it on our last trip and thought it worked out really well! If you're still not sure after all of these posts, go with the base ticket and add the hopper option later if you feel you need it.

I have never been to WDW when I didn't hop. I do go in off peak times, so many parks close early, except Epcot. We usually stay at an Epcot resort, so tend to spend our evenings there, regardless of what park we went to earlier in the day. It's not unusual for MK and MGM to close by 7 or 7:30, but Epcot always stays open till 9.

Also, I like the variety of park hopping. We are AP holders, so we have never had to think about whether or not to hop.

Went last year for a week and hopped to Epcot every evening for the Food and Wine Festival. It was nice to go to another park during the day and know we could enjoy F&W at night. I love to have that added flexibility. I don't drink wine, so my friends went to tastings throughout the day and I would hop over to a different park by myself for a while, while they were busy. Loved that flexibility.

That said, though, we were four single adults traveling together, so I only had to pay the extra $35 or $40 for the hopper feature for myself. I didn't have to multiply the extra cost to hop by a whole bunch of other people, since I only paid for myself. That might factor into my decision, if I had to add on that cost for a whole bunch of people.

DW and I never park hop. One park per day is plenty for us. Our boys love to park hop though, so our family does both. It's entirely up to each individual or group in my opinion.

Thanks for all the replies......I have chose NOT to park hop since we will have a 5 year old and 13 year old, as well as my mother with my husband and I . I know that hubby and I could park hop all day long, but I'm not too sure about the rest so I decided to save the extra $200 towards something else like and afternoon in the water parks. :goodvibes

When we go in December, most of the parks will be open from 9 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (except Epcot). So, we plan to spend each day in one park. If we went in the summer and the park hours were longer, we might plan to do some hopping. Also, since our boys are 8 & 11 and can handle saying in a park all day, we won't be taking afternoon breaks. It would make more sense to hop if we planned to go back to the resort in the middle of the day.

Now when we go to Disneyland/DCA, we hop all the time. It's nice that the park entrances are literally steps away from each other!

We have a 3 yr old, and can't even imagine trying to do more than 1 park/day. Our last trip was in Oct when crowds are slightly lower though...
We prefer the pm EMH, and would go to whichever park had them...arriving mid-morning (we're not morning people), then we would plan the day around what was open later during EMH, skip those attractions until later and make sure to hit anything that would not be open.
The nights we went to MNSSHP (twice this trip :thumbsup2 ) we had a resort day and/or did some shopping at DTD then went to MNSSHP around 4:00, treating it almost like a EMH park. Worked well for us...

We dont hop. We are just too tired by the afternoon to get to another park, deal with parking and stay late. Plus we eat dinner early to avoid crowds. I got the PH with our 10 day non-expiring (we just used a few days on our trip 11/1), and Im sorry I got it. Should have saved the money. Oh well. If we ever did want to--we have it.
