I don't care for Adam at all either. Dh says he has a good voice but just isn't his genre. I just can't stand the way he sings at all. I don't like Katie Perry at all either. I don't think she can sing at all!

This was completley unfair! I think they are trying to make it out like he already won.

Adam is too much of a showman for my taste. I can't stand the screaching, and he needs to keep his disgusting tongue in his mouth. I couldn't stand Fantasia either, for many of the same reasons.

I'm a huge fan of Michael Buble. When I saw him in concert three years ago, he opened the show with "Feeling Good." Adam's renedition was a carbon copy, as was the staging, coming down the steps, the lighting, etc....I couldn't believe what I was seeing. If you compare Buble's concert DVD to Adam's presentation, they're almost interchangeable. So much for creativity and "making it your own".

I would have loved to see a Danny/Kris final. Paula really put the screws to Danny by picking "Dance Little Sister" for him. The judges and AI overall are so biased as to who they want to win it's laughable; it's become much more of a popularitity contest than a singing/entertainment competition.

I'll watch next week just long enough to get the phone numbers to vote for Kris, and then change the channel to something worth my time while casting my votes.

and his rendition of "Mad World" was a carbon copy of Gary Jules. That what ticks me off about the "judging" the obvious bias, other contestant performances get labeled "karaoke" and he is called "original....

I've seen people say things like this on other sites, and I always find it very odd. Just because people don't like someone (or something) doesn't mean that they hate them. I don't like Adam at all, but I certainly don't hate him. I don't like country music, either, but I don't hate the people who sing it. I imagine Adam will go on to have a decent career if the fans I've seen so far are any indication, but that doesn't mean that he's everyone's cup of tea. And I have to say, I think there are lots of people who like Adam more for his style than for his singing talent, (which is not unusual - just look at Britney Spears!) but if you don't like his style then you aren't as likely to be a fan. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Also, I can think of plenty of people that lots of people dislike who are certainly not major stars. I think the number of people who like you is probably a better indication of your popularity than the number who don't like you.

(No offense meant, Robinrs - the whole "hater" thing is just a pet peeve of mine. Though I'm sure you don't mean it that way, it always comes across as very dismissive to me, as though other people's opinions aren't valid simply because they are "haters".)

I think the "show" that Adam puts on is what turns me off to the guy.
If he could just walk out onto the stage, use the voice that I know he has, I would probably like him. I just can't stand to watch/listen to the theatrics. It's almost as if he thinks he needs a big gimmick to get votes.

I don't want to ruffle feathers because I know how irritating is can be to see a thread simply to state dislike for something (Twilight) but IS there anyone else who thinks Adam Lambert is just aweful? I am not really a fan of anyone else, I just can't believe so many people really like the way this guy sings. I like rock, he seems nice, but screaming doesn't equal range and showmanship doesn't equal talent. I am not saying he shouldn't win but I would say that the judges praises have been way over the top all things considered. Am I alone on this one?

I agree with you. Adam is a screamer and his performances creep me out

I only disagree with the bolded part. I think people who call others "haters" mean it EXACTLY that way. It is dismissive, condescending, and childish. Period.

Yes, he's different. But, I think many people want different. We don't need "just another singer". He's a real performer, you have to give him that.

Dh and I just got tickets to the AI concert with another couple. DH has never expressed any interest in the show, let alone a concert. Same with the other couple we are going with. We're all going to see Adam. He's made this season great.
