Anyone make your own autograph book?

Should I decorate it first? Also, if I were to laminate it should I laminate it before getting it bound?

Thanks, I've never done this before....can you tell? LoL

Laminate the covers last and then have the whole thing bound with a spiral binder so that the book will open flat.

DW got blank ones at Michaels and the girls decorated them with Disney stickers and other personalizations.

DW says the books were on clearance for $2 each. The stickers were $4 for each book, but she used a coupon to get 40 percent off :thumbsup2

I'm making some for our upcoming trip (kids first, aged 3 and 5). Using spiral bound blank books from an art supply store, which I'm covering front and back covers of with personalized DISigns from DISign boards on here and scrapbook paper, then modge podge. Attaching a sharpie with a ribbon on the spiral part. I will glue in pictures on the facing page to where the autograph is. Decided not to pre-designate pages for characters with specific autograph pages (some awesome ones on DISign boards) as I don't know who we will and will not see.

I would love love love to make my own, but impossible :-( (Busy with school, work, three kids) does anyone know where I could buy them??????? Not the regular Disney ones but personalized homemade ones??

I got the cutest ones from etsy. They are made out of golden books, a Disney golden book cover and then a page from each character's golden book on one side and a blank page for the autograph on the other. The lady who made them includes whichever characters you want.

We used them in January and loved them!

We are making our own. Michaels had 4.5x6 chipboard on sale for $0.50, so that is going to be our cover. The inside is colored card stock decorated with stickers, scrapbook paper, etc. we went this route because ours will be a combined autograph book and photo album. The blank page before the "autograph" page will be where we put the pic of each kid with that character. Hopefully this will be something they keep because its their album as well, and not end up in the toybox.

I made one for DD for our trip 2 yrs ago. And will probably make one for each of the kids this trip. I used photoshop and uploaded all my jpegs onto shutterfly. I had them make it into an 8x8 hardback photo book.

I used an old diary with a lock (I've had it since 1994 and never used it). The lock has no key anymore (keeps my 2 year old from tearing out the pages) but I just use a small screw driver to open it. We decorated the pages with Stickers we got from The Disney Movie Club, they occasionally send out stickers once a month so we have a running collection of stickers :). To avoid the the ink from leaking through i cut up an empty cereal box to put between the pages for more durabilty while the characters sign the pages. Eventually we are going to decorate the outside of the diary.
