In my opinion- it is a remarkable deal! The lowest anyone else on this thread has gotten it for is $89- and that was for a contract halfway stripped until 2009. You are $8 less- with ALL points and no Mfs and CCs- It is a great deal.

Cool THVolts!! I thought it was a good deal but I was not 100% sure. But as I said earlier, we were told by a few people that it's probably because of where we live and the fact that Disney Timeshare selling rights don't come this far west in Canada.

I just thought I would share my moment of hearing about passing ROFR via e-mail from our BEST DVC RESELLER ever with everyone here!!!

I have great news! Disney sent me the waiver today! We have to wait for one more form from Disney and then we can have the final closing statements sent out to you. This should be in about two weeks. I will let you know when they are on the way! Thank you very much, I hope you have a great weekend!

Hi Rachel, Does this mean we passed ROFR? What is this one other form Disney still needs to send? Can that form screw us up or is it a done deal???

Yes, you have passed ROFR! The form we are waiting for is called an estoppels. This just gives us the sellers payoff if they have a loan and shows if they owe maintenance fees. This is so we can bill the sellers if need be. No problems at all! I'm happy this worked for you, I hope you have a great day. I will be sure to keep you posted.

Just wanted to post that our long awaited closing is finally here. The closing company just called to say she had everything she needed to close. We have been waiting since February, but it was worth the wait. We purchased 150 BCV points with December u/y for $86 per point. I am so glad we waited it out!! Thanks for the support.

Is that a good deal? All I know is that when we called GMAC we were calling about the AKL contract for sale on their webpage for 160 points, the seller was asking 13500.00 it had 80 2007 banked points and 160 2008 points. The UY was March.

Rachel then told us she just got another AKL contract in about 2 hrs ago and its not even up on the website yet, she gave us all the details which I posted already earlier and I gave her our credit card number right there on the phone for the deposit. I didn't want to jinx it so we said NOTHING about it on the board here until we passed ROFR.

That is an INSANE price you got!!! We've been seeing AKL go on average in the mid $90s or so. You got the steal of the year. Congrats!!

An interesting point to note about our deal we got:

We never asked for a smaller price. That's what the sellers were asking for. We just thought we would throw in asking for closing costs to be covered and they said yes.

When the contract showed up and we read it, there's that part that talks about paying back the maintenence fees on the unused points and it said amount owing $0.00
