Anyone made it through (or not made it through) ROFR recently? - Section II

This wait is driving me crazy! I check my e-mail every hour only to be disappointed. :badpc:
I am so tired of waiting for ROFR that I don't think I would do a resale again. Unfortunately, I am not a patient person and think I'd rather spend extra to find out sooner.
I spoke with TTS yesterday and we went to ROFR on 6/19. I know it has not been 30 days, but I'm afraid if I don't find out soon I may need my own private timeshare with rubber walls and a robe that has arms that tie behind my back. :rotfl2:

I was not notified that my contract had made it through, but I just received closing documents, so I guess it did.
Details: 75 BWV September points. 08 points already used so only 09 points coming. Buyer pays all closing costs. Price $88. Listed with TTS 6/19, sold 6/21, sent for ROFR 6/24, closing documents received 7/9. I'll be sending them back as soon as I get everything notarized.
 
Well, I'm still waiting to hear about ROFR...I've e-mailed my broker, eho has e-mailed Disney, but I'm still waiting. UGH!!

Yeah! :cheer2: :cheer2: We just found out that we passed ROFR on our BCV contract! We are so excited to be DVC members!

Here are the details: 150 BCV points, October use year, $86/point, no '08 or '09 points, 150 points 10/10, seller pays '08 and '09 MF, buyer pays closing.

Submitted for ROFR through TTS on 6/13, ROFR on 6/27, but like DVCpal we also didn't get notified until we got our final closing docs via e-mail a day or so ago. I called TTS and they checked and said that Disney had waived ROFR but hadn't notified them.

Just got an email congratulating me - I've made it through ROFR. The offer was sent to Disney July 1, so it only took 11 days (and one was a holiday). Here are the details: Beach Club Villas, $87/point, 51 points coming on 10/1/08 and 160 points coming on 10/1/09 (October use year). I don't start paying the annual dues until 1/09. This works for me since we are going to WDW in 15 DAYS (!) and I made the decision too late to buy for this trip, but will have enough points to go in two years. I live in California, so each trip is a big deal.

That's exactly what happened to us! When I got the e-mail from Timeshare Closing Service with all the final closing docs, I called TTS and my agent wasn't there but another agent said that they didn't see anywhere that we'd passed ROFR. Then my agent called the next day and said he had checked and we'd passed but Disney hadn't let them know. So I think you're in! Good question about estoppel, I don't know about that one.

I passed ROFR!!! My broker at GMAC doesn't know why it took so long to get an answer, but Disney faxed her the waiver yesterday! I guess the next step is waiting for closing docs to arrive.

Hi all...been lurking for a bit here, figured I'd let you know about my first attempt at a DVC resale purchase (I'm not currently a DVC member, but after many weeks of analysis, we've decided it's definitely the way to go for us) not making it thru ROFR:

OKW (2042), 230 pts @ $64/pt., Sept. use year, no '07 pts., 31 '08 pts, all '09 pts. Buyer pays closing, Seller pays '08 MFs. Submitted 7/1, ROFR'D 7/12.

This was the seller's offer and I agreed to all terms with no exception. In retrospect, I should have increased the offer from his asking terms, but I figured I'd give it a whirl, since it's my first time. Oh well! Will keep you posted on my next attempt :)

I have finally taken the DVC plunge. After much deliberation I made an offer
on 120 pt. home resort SSR with all points coming 9/08 and all points coming
9/09. I just heard from my associate that Disney has waived their ROFR and
I will become a DVC owner in a short time. I have rented points twice and am
extremely excited to be able to start making my own reservations.
