Anyone like the buffet dinner at Hollywood and Vine?

I have to say we were there last Jan, and we loved the dinner. It had plenty to choose from, but then again, its a buffet!:goodvibes

We are so used to the CHEAP buffets at home, i guess it was heaven to us...depends on your pickyness i guess! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I was there last week and the food was delicious. There is a good variety and everyone in my party left full. Their desserts were so yummy!

and we enjoyed both. I would choose Chef mickeys over Hollywood and vine for dinner. The character experience is mainly why. Our service and food at Hollywood and Vine were good. We did it as the Fantasmic package.

Tell me two things: 1) what was so bad about it? The cuisine, service, atmosphere, lack of choices, flavor....

2) where else can you dine that is part of the Fantasmic Dinner Package??

Thanks!! :surfweb:

We had the best meal of our trip at H & V! The spooned cornbread is wonderful and we must have ate our weight in mussels and shrimp! Plus they had these amazing chocolate and key lime tortes...mmmmmmm!

I think in general buffets get a bad rap on these boards, not just H & V, but this was a great meal for us!

We really like H & V. The kids enjoy it because there are so many things to pick. We have never had a bad experience there. :)

My sister went and recommended it because they liked it so much. I should have known that her tastes are not like my families, but we tried it.
We did it for the Fantasmic package, I didn't really care for it - we tried a lot of the dishes but nothing inspired us to take more than a bite or 2. I was really disappointed in the sundae bar portion, IIRC it looks really cool (with these glass tubes of toppings, like they have the candy powder in at the candy shops KWIM?) and we couldn't wait to have it, but the ice cream was very cheap tasting and the toppings ween't anything I like

I didn't hate it, but thought it was mediocre at best. DH however, hated it and never wants to go back.

Mama Melrose or Brown Derby

I didn't like Mama Melrose's. I loved the Brown Derby but I'm on the DDP and it's not worth 2TS credits...especially since I really like their appetizers more than the main dishes.

We have done Hollywood & Vine three times for buffet dinner and each time we felt it got progressively worse (service, food taste, temperature of food, etc.).
