Anyone know when Basin in DTD is opening?

When we were at DTD in December, we noticed that this new shop is due to open this month.

Here is a description from the Mousesavers newsletter:

Basin, scheduled to open in mid-January, will feature natural bath and skin care products in a beautifully rustic setting across from World of Disney. The shopís interior will evoke the feel of a 19th century market where guests can browse among pine bins and metal tubs filled with fragrant soaps and lotions or watch soap cut by the pound from all-natural blocks. Basin replaces the Generation BeneFITS shop.


We'll be there next week and I can't wait to check it out. I really hope it's open for business then. Anyone know for sure?

I don't know but if it's the same Basin store we have here at the Mall of America - it's WONDERFUL!!!!!

They have these great fizzy bath bombs that you put in your tup. The Butter Bomb is the best. It has peices of cocoa butter in it that leave your skin so soft!

Tamie, you are right. I just checked their web site and it lists stores in Disneyland's DTD and the one you mentioned.

I can't wait to check it out, I'll post about it when I get back!

The bath bomb's make great stocking stuffers and they are fun treats to get for yourself.

They have a couple different sizes but in general the bath bombs are around 3 for $8.00 or $2.95 ea.

I bought 3 last time I was at the mall and I save them for a nice looooong bath every once in awhile

Maybe you could try contacting them through their website or did you see if they offer a phone number for customer service. Or maybe you can contact the mall managment for DTD and see if they have any idea.

Also, would you please post the website address, I would love to check it out.

Well, I called WDW and learned that Basin won't be opening until April. I guess they must have some delays, bummer...
