Anyone know... can you ADD on a night with free dining?

I was told yesterday at CRO no, but called back today and said, "Could I add a day to my existing reservation without losing the free dining " and they said YES!! I am at All Stars, so it was just an additional 102.00, total for everything!!!!! I verified verbally, and looked at the reservation at disney.com and it shows correctly!!!
