I inherited my aunts house and found this jar of metal sticks. They are soft and they bend. They have been in this jar for a long time. There was jewelry making stuff around as well. Wax molds and old settings but there was also old electronic equipment too. I don't know if these are metal for jewelry or staples or for welding old circuits.

Hard to tell, but my first guess would maybe be nickel silver solder sticks. Nickel silver is commonly used in making costume jewelry, and unlike real silver, it works well as solder.

Looks like solder to me too. Not sure what type it is, depending on age it could have lead in it.

Solder was my first guess as well. May make sure it isn't silver :confused3 doubtful, but I guess you never know.

I looked up some pics of solder sticks and it does look like that is what it is. I will make sure and check it out though... along with all the jewelry settings that
are there. Thanks much.
