anyone know a good place for a 5-11 year old to be vaccinated near disney world?

Curious - which country are you traveling from? You bring up interesting points about international travel, since not all countries approve at the same time or apply the same rules. However, I'd say it's extremely likely that the FDA will approve a vaccine for 4 year-olds in June. DCL would not immediately require it - you can anticipate a lag between approval and any potential requirement. For ages 5-11 the lag was more than two months.

we're in Israel.
The ministry of health here only approved one dose of the pfizer vaccine for those who've already had covid since according to the studies done, antibody levels were high in those who recovered from covid.
It was actually a problem for everyone in my son's family. They all had covid and were only entitled to one dose.
My son is very convincing. He managed to talk the HMO into giving everyone in his family another dose (and in his case, both boosters as well).

our cruise is in July, so i don't know what will happen regarding the 4 year old.
Israel has been quick on the draw with every FDA approval, but i'm not so sure the health ministry will go along with the toddler vaccine.
They got a lot of flack from the public for vaccinating the 5 to 11 year olds. I'm sure the reaction will be even stronger for the younger group.

Interesting, yes, many countries have been looking to Israel, especially for the boosters... I do know that in Germany, each documented Covid infection counts as one vaccine dose towards "up to date" status as well. Btw, what is the minimum age for vaccination #4 in Israel now?

If you are sailing in July, I think you will not have to worry about this for the children. It would not be enough time for putting in place any potential requirements.

i don't know what the age is currently for dose number 4 (2nd booster).
Last time i paid attention (a while ago), it was age 30.
I know both my kids and their spouses who are all in their mid-thirties got the 4th dose (2nd booster).
I'll look it up.

edit: the 3rd dose is approved from everyone 12 years old and up
the 4th dose is approved for everyone 30 and up and everyone 18 years old and up who has a preexisting condition.

Thank you for looking it up - I didn't know Israel had moved to age 30 and up for #4, in the US it is currently only age 50 and up (or severely immunocompromised). Really shows there can be significant differences between countries all coming together for travel. But again, I would not worry about the 4-year-old for July, any changes would need at least a 2 months implementation period (and we are already there calendar-wise).

i should delete this thread.
The 8 year old finally got his second vaccine.
So he's fully vaccinated now.
Here's hoping the FDA doesn't approve vaccines for those 4 and under otherwise the 4 year old will have the same problem about getting 2 vaccines since she's already had covid.

Would you like me to lock it since you no longer need information?

it dropped to age 30 several months ago.
almost immediately after it was open to 60 and up.
My kids are in their 30s and they got it a few weeks after me and that was months ago.
