Anyone in the Spring 2008 advantage progam?

i'm getting excited, i got the "ok" from my parents this weekend so i'm thrilled to get going. Theres 4 roles that I really want, the others are just "eh" like I'd do them if that was it but I really have top 4 that I want and I'm scared I wont get one of them ahhh!!

advice???

I feel the same way, but i'm afraid they'll think i'm too picky and I won't get anything. I'm just going to check anything i don't mind doing and hope for the best. I'd like to hear what Joanna has to say, she's like the CP expert!

That is soo exciting. What roles are you looking at? But if there are roles that you really want, just pick those. That should help increase your chances of getting the role.

Aww, thanks!:goodvibes

My top 4 are: BBBoutique Hostess (I really want that, i'd kill to get that one, i'll cry if i dont get it) but i'll live if i dont lol. Character Attendant, Vacation Planner and/or Hospitality--those 2 are in no particular order. I've worked rides for the past 2 summers so I really do not want to do that although I think I would pick that over foods, mousekeeping, transportation, and parking. And last oct for the parks "hallowboo" I was a character attendant for the "costume characters" so I have some experience which could help, I've been doing hair/make up/etc since I was about 12 for my dance recitals, and I've dealt with large sums of money when I worked at the grocery store in high school and financial aid in college for 4 yrs so for the top 4 i feel qualified.

Any thoughts?!

Those are good ones. I don't know really anything about vacation planner or too much about hospitality. But I was a character attendant for Fall Advantage 2006, and I know a little bit about the BBB hostess. I would not put down any roles you really do not want to do (especially QSFB or custodial) just to help your chances of getting in, because most likely you would end up with one of those 2. When/if you apply, just let the interviewer know about your dance recital experience if the BBB one is what you really want, and hopefully you will get it. Good luck!

ahhhh! the e-presentation is up!

hm, a couple of the videos are missing though... odd
i can get there through the menu though, so maybe it's just a firefox problem

My phone interview is 9:00am tomorrow morning with Elaine... it's so soon!! It was the first thing the scheduler girl offered me. I didn't want to turn it down because I guess I thought the less time to worry about it the better? Yikes!

oh man! good luck tomorrow morning! ah i can't believe its finally up! ugh i have to go to work so i can't watch it until after work. :/

I think I'll watch it tonight and schedule for Friday bc with my student teaching we have Parent Open House tomorrow and I'm taking my Praxis tests all day on Sat so I figured I can do the interview Fri night...do they even do them at night??? I hope so!!!

 I have my phone interview for Friday at 5pm. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I loved the new presentation. Seems they took alot of our questions from the forum and answered them. Awesome!!

i wonder if they have any more time slots for friday at 5 bc that seems like the earliest i can do it on any day, and the earlier the better!! I'll watch the video in a little bit.

my stupid dial-up internet would not work, i'm soooo upset. After 45 mins+ I decided to just stop it being i was only on page 8 and all the videos were cutting out..i'll hafta wait until Sat to watch it at my college-where i can connect to higher speed internet :( Does anyone know if you can call to schedule ur interview on a sat? bc u hafta do it by 48 hrs after u watch the video...???

So has anyone completed their phone interview? Was just wondering what kind of questions they asked. :cheer2:

I just got off the phone from my interview. I think it went sorta well. The girl's parents live in the same town as me, and her sister went to my university. Weird...

but anyways here are the questions I was asked:

Why I wanted to do CP
best/worst customer experience I've ever had
What qualities I'd look for if I was the recruiter, and if I think I have those qualities
Favorite Walt Disney World memory
How I would feel about living with people from all over the country, perhaps even of different nationality
What I would do if I was working at a restaurant, we were behind on seating, and someone didn't bring their reservation number (after I said one of my top choices was full service f&b)

She didn't ask me to read through my role checklist, only asked me which roles I most wanted to work in. (I told her Recreation, Hospitality, & Full Service F&B) Then she asked why I wanted to do the role I said I'd most like to have.

Also, I wasn't asked if I would do Quick Service F&B.
