Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

I'm 58 days out from our trip to Port Orleans Riverside and I just completed the online check in and kept receiving an error message with a picture of goofy saying oops try again later. When I went back to MDE it shows us as being checked in. Hoping that glitch doesn't effect the ability to get our bands.

Also, just wondering how long does it typically take after online check in to be able to customize magic bands. I'm also kind of wondering if since we are going in December if that's going to effect the ability to get magic bands too. I'm a nerd and really hoping to get one for me and my girlfriend (proposing at California Grill on the first night of our trip) :)

I'm guessing 60 days was the initial idea for FP+ booking, and that they've probably changed it to 28 days now after analyzing the results of testing thus far. Just because FP+ booking has opened up on a particular date in previous months doesn't mean it'll be the same this month. The fact that the animated movie says 60 days just means to me that they haven't bothered to update it yet.

Until the testing is complete, and the whole thing is fully and officially rolled out, I think anything can change.
 
When I was on with the IT tech on Monday, he told me the same thing about the 28 days. I'm going to hope for the best (Getting the Bands and FB+ :banana:) and expect the worse. (Not getting it and feeling left out :sad1:)

On phone with Disney IT trying to get some things fixed. Was told that they officially extended Dec into testing today, that 28 days prior to arrival is the first day to get FP+ for a trip and that starting today they going thru and wiping any FP that were made before that 28 day period. Who knows if that's gonna be correct or not. Guess we will see.

Nooooooooo.........there will be MANY upset guests. I have spent hours arranging and rearranging Fast Passes for out upcoming trip. If they cancel them I will be very upset.

I agree. I spent most of last weekend setting up my FastPass times for my Dec 14-22 stay. If they delete it all, it would be such a waste of my time. Would just like them to be more specific with things to stop people from guessing and from people from wasting time.
 
I'm not seeing anything like you all are describing.

When I go to MDE --> My Reservations. I see my hotel reservations, tickets and dining reservations.

However, when I select the MDE drop down menu there's a Magic Bands and Cards section that I can go to but it only takes me to a window that says: "Don't see all your magic bands and cards? Unless you have an order currently in progress, you may still need to link them to your account".

When I select the FP+ I get an error saying that the current date selected needs to be within at least one of the party members windows. Then it takes me to a page to link accounts.

My checkin date is Dec 26th.

That is what mine says as well and we check on on the 3rd.
 
I agree that it would be wrong for Disney to cancel out any already scheduled FP+ for people who already made those reserved times I kind of also think that it is unfair for people who arrive at the end of November to make FP+ selections into December but those of us who are arriving in early Dec to still not be able to do anything. I like the idea of it depending on how many days your vacation is out not on a monthly basis. Just my thoughts.

You want to click on the words "my Disney experience", not on anything in the drop-down.
 
Yep, I can go to that page but the links take me to all the same places and I don't see the tutorial cartoon link.

Me too. It doesn't matter how I get to the Magic bands link that is what I see and I also do not see the cartoon. I tried to do a screen shot but can't figure out how to post it.

I'm just wondering how it is possible to be making FP+ times for those dates? I didn't think they were open yet.

The cartoon is in the Ariel welcome box picture. I found it played it and it helped nothing. I have no Magic Band to link so it's useless at this time . Having a hard time believing anyone has FP+ for later Dec unless it's a quirk . I'm going early and when I spoke to guest services this week they said I had to wait for invite still in the form of an e-mail.

I was told the same thing last weekend and posted it here a couple days ago ( link above). Sounds like despite what the video says Disney might be going to go with 28 days prior to check in, at least for December people. The IT tech was very specific and knowledgeable about what my experience should look like when I get to make FP+ selections. Good luck to all and guess we will just have to wait and see.
