anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

Just out of curiousity, have you been taking your measurements at all?
You dropped 2 sizes!! THat is great!! COngrats!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks! I have a very small bone frame. I'm under 5 feet tall. I did not take measurements before. I should have. I can see a definate change in the flab of my arms, and even my wrist watch loose and rings are fitting better.

Good news- I lost a pound!:cool1: I am actually really surprised, I didn't have a good week at all with eating. I did more excersise than usual though. Very pleased. I am going to do great this week. I am looking at my countdown ticker for my trip to WDW and it is only a month away- so no fooling around- I want to drop 1 pants size by then.

So I talked to my aunt last night who has been a lifetime WW member & I got a lot of great information. It really motivated me & I feel like I am ready to go. I'm still debating whether or not I should try to go to meetings for the first 3-6 months, but I can't really justify spending the money when I know what I should do. Plus I feel like I have a great support system with everyone here.

Does anyone know how many points is in 1C. 1% milk?

Thank you & have a great day!!! :)

2 points in 8oz of 1% I use 1% on my Cheerios (with Splenda) I just can't do the skim thing.

As for the support system- I really don't want to advise you against going to meetings- I think the more of a support network you have- and the more people you need to be accountavle- the better off you are- but, that said, I don't do the meetings. I know I would not like it at all.

2 points

oops 10thousand beat me to it.

I'm doing just the WW online. I think it would be a big benefit to do both the meetings and the online. There are the boards online, and lots of great advise, including exercise videos. But not a real person in front of you helping to hold you accountable.

Hi all.... starting my week six today, and weigh in this morning I was at 9.8 lbs gone!!! So, I have met my first goal to get UNDER 200.... and oh so close to my second goal of 10 lbs. I have had a rough couple weeks, my grandmother died, which was hard enough itself, but I am from a large Italian family... so funeral=food, and lots of it, then when I returned to work the week after the funeral, there were two different days when drug reps brought in food, so I have had several food issues to deal with.

Sounds like you all are plugging right along!!!! Keep up the good work.

wow congrats to everyone who lost! it's so helpful to read all of these stories.

i started at the gym this week and swore that even though i was working out i felt like i was gaining more weight than anything. today i stepped on the scale and i lost a lb! yay! hopefully it will stay that way until monday when i way in for real!

Isn't it frustrating when you "peek" before your official weigh day, and get all excited, then your weigh in that counts isn't as good!! That happened to me this week too.... I peeked two days ago and was at an even 10 lb. loss, then I was back up that darn .2 for weigh in.

Yes ScrapHappy- that happened to me a few weeks ago- only it was a pretty big fluctuation- I think it was 2 lbs higher on weigh-in day then when I peeked. I can't stop peeking though.

Okay - I've finally read this whole thread (whoo!), reviewed my info, and jumped on the scale:eek: THAT WAS A SHOCK. Good thing I'm starting WW! I'm going to do my measurements, and then go shopping.

First weight goal is to be under 200 - right now I'm out 203.4. Little steps, little steps, you know?

First exercise goal is get some form of exercise in every day - walking, exercise dvd, weights, whatever. Something every day.

First food goal is to drink more water - I know that there are days that I don't even drink ONE.

So glad to have you guys here, and the awesome support you give each other!

Good luck this week everyone!

anyone ever have no pudge brownies? they're in my oven right now and i'm soooo looking forward to them. the mix was incredible!

Little steps, little steps, you know?

That is the absolute truth! :thumbsup2 Small steps & managable little lifestyle changes...works wonders :goodvibes

I've been so insanely busy these last 2 weeks. Haven't been "here" much, but have been exercising religously, keeping my journal and doin' o.k. overall. No big losses to report, but then again I'm at the point where I'm so darned close to that elusive goal that it just seems like I'll be stuck here for a while! :headache: Ahh well, as long as I'm maintaining, I'm good with it for now! ;)

Have a healthy, happy week everyone! (and keep AWAY from those jelly beans and chocolate eggs!! They really are NOT worth it!! :lmao: )

Ok, everyone what low point sweetness can we indulge to satisfy our sweet tooth! (I'd really appreciate non-chocolate ideas, because I can't eat chocolate :( )

sugar-free jello with whip topping

cup of flavored tea with splenda

Sugar free popsicles

Fat free cool whip spread on low fat graham crackers (like an ice cream sandwich - put it in the freezer for awhile to firm it up!)

what about those snack packs from . . . Nabisco maybe? I saw them in the store the other day, supposed to be 100 calorie packs, there were peanut butter cookies, and some other sweet stuff.

Yum! That sounds good! I'm gonna have to try that one.

Honestly, when I'm craving something sweet and I know that it's just gonna be bad news if I *indulge* myself, I make a cup of green tea. As a matter of fact, it's steeping at this very moment - and I'm here posting while it does so that I won't reach for those gourmet jelly beans that I know are in my cabinet. :rolleyes1

I have not read all the posts, but just wanted to say I do WW At Home. (You can oder the kit at ww.com). I am down over 36 pounds since January! :thumbsup2 I'm not a meetings kind of girl, and I did not like online at all!

Anyone remember me? I was here in the first couple of weeks and dropped out when I went to WDW in Jan. Truth be told, I gained back everything I lost and was  to admit it. I was able to re-lose it before the end of the month and went on to have a good Feb too.

I guess my big thing was not cheating on the weekends and then trying to WI on Mon. I've been following the program, loosely as I took March off but need to get back on it. I have lost 10 lbs so far this year but need to lose at least 20 more. My clothes are still a bit too tight and the cute little tops I have all cling to every curve, NOT a pretty sight right now.

I've got to get some sleep, night all!

Hi Mousehouselover! I am fairly new to this thread so I don't remember you- but I am glad you are back. I have been having a hard time on weekends too, lately. I am glad you are getting back on track!

Hi MeetinMickey2006! I am in awe of your weight loss so far! I have been on WW since mid Jan and I am nowhere close to 36 lbs! That is so good! Keep up the good work!
