anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

Just posted this on the other board by accident:

Ok so on the 25th of April I decided to weigh myself at work because my scale at home is so tiny and has the little little lines between the weights that I can't really read when I'm on it. At home my scale said 160 which was bad, bad AT WORK one scale said 170, the balancing kind said 170 the digital one said 165 I will go with that weight.

So on the 4th of May I weighed in at 162.6 on the digital scale.

Today I weighed myself and I am down to 160. something I had to jump off before one of the patients walked by lol So that means I am down a total of almost 5 lbs.

I am not doing ww online or meetings, cant get to the meetings every week because of my schedule. I am trying to follow the points system on my own, not always counting but just trying to eat chicken, fish salads, veggies, etc. I have to add up my points from yesterday still. But I am drinking lots of water and cut down on my double double coffees, cut out the chips, and eating low fat popcorn.

The biggest difference I find is that I have started eating breakfast and a snack then lunch, then snack then dinner and snack. I used to only eat lunch and dinner. I find if i don't eat b-fast or snack I am starving soon after and want to pig out.

YEAH!!!

Now I have to go add my points for today and yesterday.

5 down; 40 to go :yay:

I also eat 6 times a day - some days it seems like I'm constantly eating....but it works for me! :yay: I try not to let myself reach that "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!" feeling :rolleyes1 ...that never turns out good :headache:

Keep up the good work everyone! :cheer2:

I'm not sure if I posted this or not, if I did, sorry. I had been battling to lose that 1 pound to put me at the half way point. Well finally at last weeks weigh in I did!! I'm half way there! I didn't lose anything this week, but I didn't gain either!!

:cool1: :cool1:

April 25th was my birthday!! Congrats on the loss!!!!

Hi Guys! I am back from DisneyWorld- we had a great time. I am up 2 pounds- Which is actually good considering how much good food I ate! I am back on track now, my menu is all planed out for the next 3 days.

DH and I joined the DVC in December- so we went down to check out our "investment". We really liked it alot. We also had a chance to take a quick look at some of the other DVC resorts. They all look fabulous. We left Epcot for a quick swim and hot tub soak at the Boarwalk. It was so cool! The slide there at the pool ROCKS! It was the wildest ride I took on my whole trip! We did lots of walking, relaxing, shopping, and yes, eating. It was wonderful.

Here are some pictures of the topiaries at flower and garden and also some nice pictures of the resort:

natenapril, happy birthday to you :cheer2:

To EVERYONE else, i just want to say congrats, and thank you!!! It was because of you here on the disboards that I decided to do something.

I was reading about WW before, my friend had done it and lost 30 + lbs and she looks sooo good. But after getting inspired to look a little better for my dis trip I found the info I needed here on the boards.

So thank you so much everyone!!

Today, not so good, had a little chinese today, not much rice only a tbsp full and a little piece of breaded chicken, the rest veggies. BUT I had a brownie too, actually half.

But no time for supper tonite so I had a few of my son's fries. Ate a WW frozen dinner at 9:00 pm, not so good to eat so late.

Tomorrow is another day.

Steph

I have been scale peeking and have gained. All the stress is really getting to me. We have been to Burger King twice for dinner this week and to Mcdonald for MM flurries. AND I have been buying pepsi and chocolate like there is no tomorrow.:headache: It seems like once I started eating it again I just can't stop.:guilty:
So how do you guys deal when stress is high ?:confused3

natenapril- this was our first May trip and I highly recommend May- Flower and Garden fest, great weather, pretty low crowds.

It seems like once I started eating it again I just can't stop.
So how do you guys deal when stress is high ?
This is true for me too- that once you start eating badly it is hard to reign yourself back in. I am no expert on dealing with stress- during my recent stressful time I ate badly too. But here is some pixie dust to give you the strength you need to make good choices: :wizard:

I want to welcome brighteyes and kinntj! This thread is full of the most supportive, helpful people. I promised myslef and my fellow WW friends that I would not give up so I feel accountable not just to myself but to my friends here.

Welcome to all the newbies. Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Its been a very stressful week. I haven't even weighed myself.

TenThousandVolts: Welcome back! I'm glad you had a great time. We've been in May before and its great!

We were supposed to go tomorrow but DD4 is sick so we had to cancel, thus the stressful week. It was like a rollercoaster all week long. DD4 went to the Dr. and they did a strep culture which the quick culture came back negative so we were in hopes she would feel better but shes actually worse. The Dr. supposed to call tomorrow w/the results of the other strep culture they sent away. Poor thing....I feel so bad for her and she feels so upset she can't go to Disney. We did reschedule for October so we will be going but just not soon enough! Her b-day is during our stay so we will "do it up good!" DS7 was probably the most upset because he has some idea of what to expect from reading the Birnbaum Book for Kids. But he also understands when October is and he knows he will be going.

So tomorrow I'll weigh in and see what damage I've done this week. Onward and downward!!!!!

Joanne

Welcome back TenThousandVolts! Did you mind the smoke from the fires? My eyes are burning so badly the last few days.

JJ&JSMOM, sorry to hear about your DD and the trip. I hope she feels better soon. Will October be the kid's first trip?

Totally OT from WW and tooting my own horn, I just got an email from PassPorters. They are publishing my Disney tip and sending me a free copy of the book when it's pubished! I learned about PassPorters from the Cruise board here on the DIS.

Congrats to all the losers! Onward and downward!

Aww, J&JsMom- I feel so bad for you guys. On the bright side- you have 4 more months of that exciting anticipation to enjoy. Do something special for your kids today!

OK- Lovethattink- what is the tip? Or is that passporters intellectual property now?;) The smoke was bad on our last day- we could not even see the horizon. We could smell it and it looked hazy- It didn't bother me really though.

I am finishing up my coffee and getting ready for my 3 mile walk- I have a lot of work to do to get rid of those extra lbs courtesy of the DDP!

We ate dinner at Concourse Steakhouse- delicious A, Kona Cafe superb, excellent A+++++, and Chefs de France, very good, yummy, B
I won't get into all the food I ate- that would just be cruel here on the WW thread, but I will say- there were multiple healthy choices on each of the three menus. I had fish and salad 2 of the three nights- but then again- I had dessert 2 of the 3 nights also- my achiles heel!
I scale peeked and I am down 1 pound from the day after my trip- I am hopeful to keep losing- I feel pretty committed.

Enjoy your weekend- and Happy Mothers Day to everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!

It was a latex allergy tip. My son has a severe allergy to latex.

lovethattink: It will be our kids first trip to Disney. They're handling it better then I am. I'm putting on a "brave face" for DD4 so she won't feel worse then she already does but I tell ya I feel like crying. I just love Disney but I know we made the right decision.

TenThousandVolts: I am planning our dining today - I booked CRT for DD4's 5th bday already but I need to really get going. Not really sure where we want to eat. We're staying at OKW...doesn't look like they're much there.

Kids are really looking forward to MNSSHP. Hopefully we'll be able to make it. Sorry so glum guys...just really bummed! On the brighter side, its DD1's 2nd b-day and of course I had everything planned for down in Disney - decorations etc sent down via UPS last week. So we'll do a little celebration and as soon as DD4 feels better we'll go away for a long weekend and celebrate DD2's b-day all at once.

I did lose 2 lbs since last weighed in. I haven't been able to exercise this week so hopefully I didn't lose muscle. As soon as things get back to normal I'm going to get back in the swing of it.

Thanks again guys...I appreciate the support. Now if this day would just get over!

Onward and downward!
Joanne

Happy Belated Mother's Day! I was treated very well by DH and kids.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm so glad I found you here.

I officially weighed myself today and started tracking points by writing what I eat down. Since Thursday, I've been keeping it in my head and just feeling it out. DH started on Thursday, so he's been going strong. We had a slice of banana cream pie on Saturday and Sunday, but we did figure in the points and counted them towards those flex points for the week.

I'm going shopping today to get some more low point snacks.

Week 1 goal is to drink all my water.

Talk tomorrow.

If you need any maps or any help planning, I'm happy to help.

My kids like eating at Biergarten, Trails End, Whispering Canyon, and Sci Fi.

Week 1 goal is to drink all my water.

Great reminder! So often I forget to do that, thanks. Have fun buying snacks. Sugar free jello seems to be my staple, lol.

I finally exercised today. Did a full body toning DVD. According to WW online exercise tracker, it says it counts as 6 points. Is that possible??!!

JJ&Ja mom, Sorry you had to cancel your trip. Hopefully your baby girl will feel better soonprincess:

THanks for the support TenThousand. SOmetimes it is hard for me to step back and get in control. BUT today is MOnday and I am making a fresh start!

Well, count us as another family who has to cancel our trip to WDW. My DH was supposed to get orders to a guard unit in PA but we are now being diverted to California!! So the good news is we will be 7 hours from Disneyland:cool1:

All week I scaled peeked because I was eating so terribly! BUT I maintained!! I am so thrilled!! I was terrified of stepping on the scale.:headache:
So today is a new day!!

Happy Belated Mothers Day and Onward and Downward ladies!!
