Anyone heard any type of news yet?

It's been a week since a lot of us breathed a little easier with the whole Delta situation. I was just wondering if anyone has heard any more on this issue? I was reading somewhere that they are not sure the pilots will even pass it because of the distrust that they have with Delta. I am just curious what is going on....thanks!

I hope that this link works. I found this on yahoo news. The Delta pilot's union leaders approved the tentative agreement. The pilots will begin voting in Mid May, and the ballots are open for 15 days. I sure hope everything works out, since we leave the first part of June.

To the experts: What do you think, will this pass?

I believe it will. I don't think the pilots will vote themselves out of a job.

So far Bicker you and Carol A have been right, I hope that things keep going that way. I was just reading somewhere that the pilots have such distrust with Dl right now, it looked like it might not pass. My DH states that if it went through the union people then their is a very good chance it will pass.
I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed.

wow thanks for the update. we fly out on May 21 & return June 3. I hope all goes well with this mess!I am not as worried as I was a few weeks ago but it is still nerve racking.Thanks to all for keeping us posted & updated,i was wondering the same if there were any new news,now i know.

My sister is a Delta flight attendant (for over 25 yrs) and when we talked about this topic the other evening she said it was pretty much settled. Delta is opening up routes throughout the world in May, and with this impending expansion, it seems doubtful that the pilots would strike. Doesn't mean they are happy with the settlement, but they appear to be accepting the circumstances at this time.

I found this article about Delta, I get the impression the union thinks it is a good deal, but sometimes I read into things to much. I didn't know if anyone else was interested or not, so I just posted it.

On a side note, if the pilots pass it ( hopefully), then is there a good chance the bankuptcy judge will pass it also. I have seen anything on this, but I am just assumming that everyone is taking things one step at atime.
