Anyone having trouble with online check-in?

Activities can now be booked but checkin still says available 12/18, which it IS on the east coast.

Am I missing something?

Change your computer's time. That fixed it for me when I had a similar issue the other night.

My online check in lagged for about 15-20 minutes. I was able to book activities though. It is available for me now though.

I'm still not able to get it, it says Online Check-In is temporarily unavailable; please try again later. Did you guys just keep refreshing? Any other ideas?

When my date opened on Thanksgiving another person checking in that day and I discovered that if you book an activity - even if you go in and cancel it once you do your check-in, the check-in part opened.

Very often it is reported here that not everything is available to do with online check in at midnight. Sometimes there is a lag time of a few hours.

Wow I wish I had known that last night.

I did keep refreshing, and changed my computer's clock, and tried to book a spa thingy, but for some reason it kicked me out of the activities, and somehow eventually the check in link was there, after about 35 min. Glad it wasn't a few hours. To answer the other poster, it did not say unavailable, it said the date it becomes available, so different issue I guess. Did you get in yet?

I did get in about an hour later. Got everything that I wanted, so not a big deal.

Clocks aside, you also have to be sure you've "logged in" after 12:01am EST, if you're on the site logged in before then you have to log out, close your browser and then log back in again and often that will let you do your check in then. Although recently for our trip in Feb, our check in window opened for first time cruisers and they were unable to complete the check in until 2 or 3 hours after midnight. Not sure it's it just overwhelming traffic causing the delay or what. It just appears to be an ongoing issue here and there.

Is there a way to know if it's actually 12:01 by the Disney clock? I mean we all have our time set and may be off by a minute or so. I imagine that would affect log ins as well. Some sites have clocks on them to indicate the server time on their end.

This happened to me the other night, too. I was able to book activities but I was not able to check in for about 10-15 minutes. It wasn't a huge deal. I was able to get all my activities out of the way before I dealt with checkin.

No, when the windows open, you may do whichever (check in or excursion) option first that you wish.

The difference is, you must be paid in full to book excursions/adult dining/spa/nursery/etc. You don't have to be paid in full to check in.

So is it more prudent to book your excursions/activities before you check in or better to check in first? I'm thinking of how to get the best chance at a good PAT and excursions when you're a first timer. (Cabanas aren't even on the hope-for list).
