Anyone having trouble with online check-in?

So is it more prudent to book your excursions/activities before you check in or better to check in first? I'm thinking of how to get the best chance at a good PAT and excursions when you're a first timer. (Cabanas aren't even on the hope-for list).

It just depends on what's more important TO YOU. If you're concerned about what Port Arrival Time you'll get - go for the online check in first. If there's a certain excursion that you really want to be sure you get - do the excursions first.

If the PAT wins - some hints on how to get there quicker (the PAT page will not unlock until all blanks are filled in on the previous pages): chose that you're using driver's license/birth certificates (even if you're using passports); chose that you'll have a cash account onboard (even if you're planning on using your credit card); and chose that you're arriving at the port on your own (not from a flight).

You can go back later and correct any of this information.

Good tips. Why choose driver's license rather than passports?

I've put my info (based on those pics you posted) in a spreadsheet, thinking I can copy and paste faster than I can type, especially at midnight.

Because, if you enter "passport" you kill some time entering the passport number & expiration date. Entering "driver's license" you go directly to the next question.

You're not typing in "driver's license", it's an option to click on (either "Photo & Government ID" or "driver's license").

If you click on "Photo & Government ID" you'll go next to the next page. Clicking on "passport" you'll be prompted to post the other information (taking a little more time).

I'd honestly just choose whichever is the most important to you since you need to pick which "path" you'll go down first. Prior to being Platinum it would depend on if there was an excursion we really wanted or if we preferred to get the earliest PAT - which that usually won out for us. Now we tend to book independent tours and I'm Platinum but most times I still do at midnight - lol

Ah, now I understand. But here's my problem. I'm Canadian, so I don't think it will let me bypass the passport. Good information, though. And great strategy.
