Anyone have or ever had Cricket for cell phone provider?

DH is looking into Cricket for a prepaid cell phone plan. We both have Tracfones at this point, but he thinks he's spending too much on the Tracfone cards and wants a different plan and is thinking about Cricket. Anybody have any advice on them? Or know if they are good or bad? Thanks!

Cricket got bought out by AT&T a few months ago. I don't think they will exist as a separate company much longer, but even if they do, it will be AT&T, Jr. I wouldn't choose Cricket right now - too much is up in the air about the future.

Thanks for this info. Good to know. The person DH talked to acted like they would be better now that they are part of AT&T, better coverage etc.
