Anyone Have More Info??

I'm currious if anyone has more information on the new ride coming to Animal Kingdom? It's called Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. They say it will open in Spring - 2006. I hope it's open when I go in March but that might be to hopeful.

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

If you do a search you will find many threads on Expedition Everest. Some of the threads have updated pictures and descriptions of the ride.

Disney has not confirmed an opening date but rumors have it opening on April 22. There apparently is a media event scheduled for early April. If you are going in March you may be fortunate enough to catch a "soft opening" of the attraction.

Type it in on GOOGLE.com and you'll get all sorts of press releases etc. some show pictures some give timelines etc. I get a newsletter from disneyinsider.com every week and a few weeks back this was the focus. It said the ride will be as if the guests are being hunted by a Yedi. It will be fast like Rockin Roller Coaster without the bullet take off. I also heard there are LOTS of hidden mickey's and the detail in the line q is great and DIFFERENT in the fast pass line vs. the regular line.
