without an ADR and hoping for a no show?

I really, really want to eat there, but I put off making reservations, because I stupidly thought I had to book the room first.

Here's what we have right now and I'm hoping for cancellations. I'm checking every day.

Day 1: Dinner at Intermission Food Court (we won't arrive until after 5). Thought about eating at MK, but didn't think the kids would want to eat once we got there. Maybe I should make a reservation (or try to) just in case?

Day 2: L- Prime Time Cafe, D- Pizza Planet (ds really wants to go there). If a PTC cancellation opens, I'll switch lunch and dinner.

Day 3: L - Yak and Yeti CS, D- Planet Hollywood

Day 4: L- Teppan Edo, D- Rose and Crown

Day 5: L- San Angel, D- Biergarten

Day 6: L- Liberty Tree Tavern, D- Columbia Harbor House

I'd love to switch out the Planet Hollywood for Ohana. Although it would be less convenient since that's our Animal Kingdom/Downtown Disney day.

Day 7 we're heading to Universal Studios. We've never been and I have no idea what we'll eat there, but most likely just counter service.

I would not travel to the Poly on your DTD day to eat at 'Ohana, even if you could get a reservation. It's okay, but I don't think it's worth all the hassle. We eat there when we stay at the Poly because it's convenient.

It's my husband's favorite and since we don't have park hoppers, I thought that would be the best time. We don't get to WDW too often.

I chose Planet Hollywood because my youngest is very picky and it had things that appealed to him. I think I might look around at the other DTD restaurants a bit more.

i dont know about traveling but just a word of advice to keep checking online! yesterday i went to look for a dinner at magic kingdom and two openings came up for Ohana one at 525 and one at 610. both great dinner times that had not been there for the past two months ive been checking. my trip is in september so i was kind of feeling defeated till i saw all the openings. try to check daily if possibly!

Check even when you are there. Last year I couldn't get lunch or dinner at the Rose & Crown before leaving home:sad2:. On our second day I asked at Guest Service at POFQ if anything was available during the rest of our stay and he gave me 3 lunch options to pick from:yay:

We had ADR for Wednesday night at 8:30pm we wanted to eat earlier so we showed up at OHana and within in 15 minutes we were seated for our party of 7. :cloud9:

Already having an adr and showing up early is very different than not having one.

Ohana is one of the harder to get ressies, so keep trying and hopefully something will open up.

I can tell you from experience that if you show up without an adr your chances of getting in are slimmer than slim, however if they do say ok, you are looking at a 2-3 hour wait and you have to wait there.
