Where do you buy their shoes???

My 15yo son ... omg... wears a size 15E. :scared1: His shoe size has followed his age every year since he was 10.

My sister, God bless her, has taken over the bi yearly job of buying his athletic shoes.... now we can't find that size anywhere.

Any ideas? :confused3

btw, my sister wears a 5 1/2 and I wear a 6... you can tell we have NO EXPERIENCE in this!! :lmao:

Just want to say.... WOW! A TEN at ten years old? DS is in a 4 at 11! LOL! (Of course, he's on :cloud9: because he grew into a 10 regular <NOT SLIM! Woo-Hoo!> pants size this year. Yeah, he's a little guy. LOL!)

I thought my 18 year old had big feet at size 13:eek:

my cousins have huge feet, one is a 15 and the other is a 16. they buy a lot of their sneakers online. try nike.com or any other company that sells basketball shoes. expect them to be pricey though. and next time you go to disney shop the orlando outlets. i know my cousins have good luck inthe nike outlets.

My son, just turned 14 (2 weeks ago), is currently wearing a size 13 4E. We get him New Balance for sneakers (we actually have a NB store just 20 minutes away) or when he needs dress shoes, we've gotten them at Casual Male XL (they have a website, but we also have one of those about 25-30 minutes away) and have occasionally found shoes at DSW (although the last ones we got there were 12s, so I don't know if they have any bigger). Oh, we've also found sandals at Famous Footwear (and I remember them having some size 15s on the shelf at our local FF).

How tall is your son? Mine is currently about 5'9" - and still growing like crazy. I'm sure his shoe size will go up soon...I'm just hoping it will be before we order his band shoes next month!!!

He's only 5'7" tall but still growing... he was 5'6 two weeks ago! :lmao:

I've considered online but he wondered if they'd FEEL right... since he has to wear them before even considering them.. :confused3 I did find some on eBay but don't know if they will fit right.

I know... I'm STILL in shock... :faint:

who was the basketball player that made good shoes for cheap? There was a story on him a couple of years ago, that he watched his mum always struggle to pay for shoes and he wanted to make sure that no one ever had to again.

Other than that I feel your pain, Ds13 is in 12's at this rate I will not be able to afford to clothe him in 3 years. He better find a job at a shoe/clothing store!

My DH wears a size 15, so I can sympathize with you! It's so hard for him to find shoes. One store we've had a lot of luck with is The Shoe Dept. (It's also called Shoe Show depending on where you live.) In fact, he just bought a pair of Nike sandals there yesterday for $34.99. Our stores here have a great selection of large sizes.

I saw that you live in Georgia, and according to their website, they have several stores in Georgia.

I saw that the payless around here went to size 15/16. (I was just there yesterday)

I also want to second the Shoe Dept. I was there yesterday as well.

:scared1: I hope my son doesn't go there when he turns 17!!!! Does he like the shoes on this site? I'm real unsure about ordering online. Any b&m stores??

LOL I hate to tell you this, but he did about what your son is doing now.

I called him before I made my post, just to make sure. He has been getting his shoes from them for a while now. He likes them and hasn't had any problem with them. He has boots, tennis shoes, boat shoes and dress shoes from them.

Most of the B&M stores stop at size 15. We searched all over the SE looking for a store that would sell shoes to fit him. It just wasn't done.

That's Stephon Marbury... I checked and the only store in Georgia is in Savannah! That's a thought, though, the shoes are cheap enough to buy online and not care if they don't fit!!

Thanks for checking! I will try them out.

I have found some 15s but need the wide width, too. That's been the hard part.

How tall is he? I expect my son to be very tall since his father's size grew late but VERY tall. His grandmother is 6 feet one!! :scared1:

The width was his problem also.

He is 6ft 7in.

Yikes!! I expect that because he has cousins that are near 7 feet tall. His cousin is Master P and we all know what HIS feet look like after watching him dance!! :lmao:

DS is 10 and wears an 11 1/2 right now, so I'm sure I'm headed for the same trouble lol.

My younger brother is the tallest of my 4 blood brothers, but only by a few inches. The males in my family are all tall and big. I'm almost 6ft myself.

I also have a major shoe problem. I wear an 8 EEE now try to find those!:rotfl:
