My son is wearing a 14(very wide) and will be heading into a 15 by the time it's all over. We are currently getting him mostly sports shoes at Foot Locker. Last time he needed black for a performance, I got him black hoops shoes and used a sharpie to blacken the very bottom. I haunt the thrift shops and occasionally find new large shoes for my husband who also wears a 14D width but likes dresss, casual although not sports shoes.
He says try Zappos online. Ooops, didn't notice it was an old post.

Where do you buy their shoes???

My 15yo son ... omg... wears a size 15E. His shoe size has followed his age every year since he was 10.

My sister, God bless her, has taken over the bi yearly job of buying his athletic shoes.... now we can't find that size anywhere.

Any ideas?

Same here! My foot size was my age since I was 12. I'm 6'2" tall skater boy an I got size 18 fins. You can get big sized shoes an socks at: oddballshoes.com ; bigshoes.com ; footlocker.com ; eastbay.com . Also, ebay.com ; ebay.co.uk You gotta go thru web sites an see whats available. Size 15 is OK. Theres many kicks in dat size. My fins are 18s an dats a big prob wid the shoes! Cheers! Nick.
