Anyone have a pic of the ring in front of the Haunted Mansion?

In all my trips I haven't been able to find it! We head back down to the world in about a week and this time I've vowed to find it. (Of course a picture would help ensure that I do)

My DD (age 6 at the time) stumbled across it long after I had given up all hopes of finding it. If I remember correctly, stay towards the right when you exit the ride. It's not too far away from that exit, closer to the building.

as you walk out there is an area where it seems like there could have been a gate. If you think about where the gate would be, look down on the ground at about the place where you would slide a bolt down from the gate in to the ground. That's pretty much where you'll find it.

The jealous groom kills the bride when he spots her with the tailor’s arm around her waist. (Was he just measuring her?) He then killed her and hung himself I believe.

It’s the bride’s engagement ring.

Coming out of the ride on Halloween night at mnsshp last year a cm pointed it out to my daughters. He said Madam Leolita (not sure of the spelling) pushed Miss Emily out of the window (he pointed at a window) and killed her on her wedding night and that the legend was that any girl who touched the ring would never get married. He was an older gentleman and told the story in a real low, creepy voice -- very cool. He also talked about how much everyone loved Miss Emily, etc. We rode the ride again a few days later but couldn't find the ring by ourselves. Good luck!

It is, but I guess we can let those that like to think it's part of the story enjoy it.

Just FYI everyone, that "ring" is no ring. It's a former gate that stood and was remove and the pipe was simply cut at asphalt level. However, Im sure the Imagineers would LOVE to take credit for that being their idea. If they would have thought about it, Im sure they would have put it there as a ring.

This is so funny, we have seen it before but figured it was just something that had been cut down (as if a gate had been there). Never knew there was a "ring" story. We'll have to look for it again to look at it as a ring!

last week, a good CM even helped us find it. My sons said, "That's it...." and the another CM walked past and replied, "Hey, I know I haven't polished it in a while, but have you seen the size of this house? I'm the only downstair's maid you know!" It was so funny!

One time DH and I were standing over the ring talking about it, and a CM walked past and said, "Do you want to know what it really is?"

Since I know what it "really" is and didn't want to spoil the magic of the moment, I said "no."
