Anyone have a packing list?

DH is running the half marathon, and he tends to wait until the VERY LAST MINUTE to pack when we travel, and I'm just imagining him forgetting something important - like shoes.

Does anyone have a handy-dandy packing list? (If you have any things we might not think about, like foods or running gear, please add them.) DH has only ever done the Philadelphia Broad Street Run, and we're local, so we haven't had to think much about what we brought.

And what's The Stick? I've seen that on a few posts, but am totally clueless...

My list is pretty short since I'm leaving off the non-running stuff.

running shoes
running socks
running shorts
running shirts
Body Glide
sunglasses
goo
Clif Bars
Alleve
8-hour Tylenol
post-race sandals
jacket/tights/cold weather clothes
jacket/hat for rain
Garmin
packet pickup waiver

Please see my dumb questions above...

They're not dumb questions at all. "goo" is my shorthand for energy gels, beans, blocks, and all the other products that runners use to fuel themselves during long runs. You can buy them at running stores, sports stores, and even some grocery stores. Your husband should, hopefully, have some brands and flavors that he likes and has used before during his training runs. While the race expo vendors carry a lot of these products, I would make sure to pack his favorite ones anyway. Better not to chance it.

The Garmin is to monitor my pace and distance while I am running. It's certainly not a required item and not everyone wears one by any stretch, but if you're used to training and running with one, you want to make sure you pack it. If your husband uses one, make sure it gets packed along with its charger so it's ready to go on race day.

In addition to the previous list (very good list btw):
Spibelt - this is a little belt like thing that you can run with and it holds Gu's, etc
Printed and Signed Waiver - depending on when you're going the expo can be really crowded - this makes it faster to get your packet
Insurance Cards - hey you never know
Gum - I like to chew gum when running - go figure - and you can't buy it on disney property anywhere - literally
Something for breakfast pre race

And The Stick - its a 2 foot (+/-) plastic rod that you use to roll your muscles/etc. I've never actually used it but I've heard people swear by it.
