I've had several Roombas and my current one is on it's last leg. I'm not happy that I have to constantly take it apart to clean all the little pieces of dust and pet hair out of it. I don't have carpets anymore so I was thinking the mint might be a better option because it just sweeps and it wet mops (which Roomba doesn't do). I've read lots of different reviews online and have seen a lot of complaints about Neato's customer service and quality of construction. So does anyone have their own opinions?

I have both. Neato works much better than the roombas. However it's not as good as my dyson animal for picking up dirt out of the carpet. I have nothing but good things to say about mint. I have the small one and it was definitely worth the price. We are in the process of putting in hardwood laminate downstairs so I'm curious to see how the mint will do. I currently use it on tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms.

I'm leaning toward the Mint because I don't have carpets anymore and with the swiffer cloth I won't be picking dust and pet hair out of every little moving part like I do with the Roomba. And it's cheaper!

We also have both. The Neato works as advertised, love it. Its easy to use and effective. It will move room to room and go over multiple surfaces (like Hardwood to carpet) with no problems. The Mint also works well. However you would not want to use it as your primary floor cleaner I don't think. It's basically a robot Swiffer. We use the Neato which does a fine job and then the Mint to "mop" and polish.

If your choosing between the two I would go with the Neato hands down. No brainer. Even if you have all hardwood floors.
