We're seriously considering getting one for our kitchen. If you have one, are you happy with it? I think they're gorgeous, but wonder if I'll still think so in 3 or 4 years. Thanks!
We LOVE them, and will more than likely buy one for our formal dining room when we move and buy a house. DH is 6'5 and doesn't fit comfortably under most tables, and that seems so much better for us and our lifestyle.
The table we have now, he can't even FIT his legs under so I had to screw casters on the bottom to raise it another 2 inches. He barely squeezes in =)
It works perfectly with our island in our kitchen. We bought all matching chairs. The chairs at the island are the same as at the table. We didn't have to buy separate bar stools.
Glad to hear no negative comments on them. I had a friend that had one that I just loved. It's a little different when it comes time to by one for one's self!
Your back will LOVE it when you want to wrap gifts. I usually lift my dining table with cans of veggies to bring it to counter height when Christmas rolls around. It's a back saver!

thanks!! I just wanted to say that the size of these tables are just awsome, when I add a leaf to my table it sit 10 so easy with a huge meal in front of you!! you can have so much more room then a regular table!! you need one...now!
I bought mine back in November and had it delivered when we closed and moved in......January this year. I have a great picture of it saved on my computer, but I can't remember how to post a picture. Sorry.
I posted the picture in my sig a while back, and that has been my only picture that I have posted.
Wow. I don't have one & clicked on to read what others said. I had a counter installed into my art studio. I didn't realize it would be higher than a regular table. I hated it.
Some considerations to think about:
Counter height chairs can NOT be pulled over & used at a normal height table. This lack of versatility made me mad as I had to buy extra chairs for my other tables.
Also, I hated being perched up on a high chair. I like having my feet touching the ground.
If you have someone elderly or disabled over during the holidays with a bad back or hip, who can't climb up on the chair, they will have to sit elsewhere during the meal while everyone else is at the table.
