Anyone had dinner in Mythos ??

what is the table meal service plan?

When you purchase a package with room and tickets, you can add a meal deal option and/or a table service option. The table service option is $35.00 per person. For us it would be $175 to prepay for a meal and we get to pick and entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage.

Just wondered if that was a good idea for Mythos? :confused3 Those of you who have eaten there, what type of costs did you incure?

Whoo Hoo we leave a week from today!

For AAA members, I believe you get your AAA discount at Mythos. Preferred Annual Passholders get their annual pass discount.

Heres some photos from last month.

You will need to check the opening times as there was 1 day it wasn't open and the day we ate it was only open for lunch.

Now I know I'm in the minority but I have likely had my last meal at Mythos. I like the atmosphere and the food is fine, not great but fine. I was completely put off by hosting staff last year. We had a reservation, which they claimed not to be able to find, so I then showed them my room key which should have gotten us next available table but we were seated 1 hour after arriving! Even walk-ins of the same size were being seated ahead of us. At the time, I felt like we were pawns in a game between Mythos and Portofino's concierge staff, as for some reason, the hosting staff at Mythos were very explicit in their description of how the PB staff did not know how to make a reservation. I might have taken their side had they still seated us promptly.

Our room key has never given us next available seating at Mythos.

Good Lord, those are making me hungry.

What dish is the roll right above the pizza?

I don't recall the name and it is not on the menu on all ears.

But it was a creamy mushroom dish inside a hollowed out brioch (sp). It was delicious.

Our room card got us next available seating at Mythos and has previously at the Hard Rock Cafe.

is it the same menu for lunch and dinner? Also, for the Table Service meal credit - how many meals per day does it cover? tip included?

I've been debating about whether to eat at this restaurant on our upcoming trip - that picture of the mushroom in brioche dish just made up my mind - it's making me hungry!

Anyone know how far in advance they take reservations? Is it like the Disney restaurants - they'll take reservations 6 months in advance?

I just called to make reservations for late March two days ago & was told to call back in March, as they like to take the ressie within 30 days of your visit.

We were at Universal 2 weeks ago with my 2 DS's, ages 20 & 17. I had heard good things about Mythos, but hadn't even mentioned it to my family. As we were walking past Mythos, my 20 yr old noticed it, stopped and looked at the menu. Both of my boys are fairly cautious eaters and don't really go for the exotic. My DS said he really, really wanted to eat there, so we made a plan to go the next day. It worked out perfectly for us to stop there for our lunch and we were blown away. Our party of 5 each had something different and each and every one of us loved what we ordered!

Last time we went we were able to get a discount with our AAA..

How much of a discount did you get? When did you whip out your AAA card - when you got the check, or earlier? We LOVE Mythos and it's a definite must-do on our next trip, but of course I would also love a discount! Thanks!

I believe it's 10% - does not count towards alcohol though (which tends to be the major portion of my bill) :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Gotta remember my AAA card now .

I would think you need to give it before the check since they need to take it off the top of the bill Right ??
