Anyone got good flight prices for September??

Have you looked at BA from Gatwick??
we leave on 19th september and we paid £1800 for 6 of us obv 3 kids in that so avg price will seem better than you can find.
I know travelling down to Gatwick is a ball ache but for us the savings on VA prives were worth it !!

Some people have said they worry about strike action with BA but from my research it doesnt affect Gatwick flights.

Ive not been back into the Ba website to see how much they are at the moment so I apologise if thats a bum steer.

we booked ours with thomas cook into sanford direct from gatwick 2 adults and a child 3 years old 16th september to october 7th for £1385 try going to a travel agent there are some deals but they are hard to find booked flight on 14th jan paid £1548 last year

I paid £500-ish for our flights for September this year. But I sat and waited up all night for the flights to be released. They had gone up by the time I got home from work. I knew what I was willing to pay and when they came up in my price range, I took them. I may or may not be better off by waiting but the worry of having to cancel my trip would not have been worth the saving. We are going indirect with CO.

OMG !!! We booked ours during what was being promoted as a " sale " so maybe they will come down again !!
Im sorry it was such a bum steer I would have looked myself but I was cooking dinner - Sorry !

To make up for my bum steer Ive just checked netflights for you and they have flights with Us airways for your dates for £535 each. (LGW)

Jst for your info netflights is who Thomas cook use and when we went into store we maaged to barter to £200 off our flight price to give the money to Thomas cook and not direct to etflights - worth a try to get that price down a bit

thanks for looking Louise, we would prefer to go from Man as we will have a 3 yr old and a 8 month old with us.
i went into first choice today and their quote was even worse!

Decided I would wait for better flight prices for our October trip to come up rather than booking the day they came out.

Never again.

We ended up cancelling our 2010 trip Every time I checked the prices they were increasing on sometimes a daily basis. Same as you with young children in tow we so much prefer MAN departing flights.

This year I learnt my lesson and set my alarm for 4am on our 11 month window day to make sure I grabbed those M+M seats. I ended up paying £4600 for 6 PE seats Man to MCO this coming October. I was happy to pay this price and will do the same next year.

Unfortunately as our children are in school we are stuck to half term dates etc, hopefully you will have a little more flexibility

I should of booked when the m+m were out last yr but i never thought the flights would sell out that quick, as we have been a few times before around september and always got flights a few months later - not this time though!! my daughter is getting married next yr in september in florida so i'll have to make sure i dont make this mistake again!
we will have to now decide whether we are going to pay the prices of virgin- currently £665 -they have gone up again, or just cancel the villa and not go

We much prefer Man departing flights too but the problem we found is there is no competio on Man flights. If you want a direct flight theres Virgin or Virgin !!

Even looking at Va Prices the MAN prices are never competitive compared to the LGW prices

I hope you find something jeanette maybe there will be a sale along in June that will give you the prices you are after (fingers crossed)
