What are the crowds like the week leading up to Easter? I am sure the Easter week the crowds are huge. Toying between this and a week the end of May with Memorial Day crowds.:Pinkbounc

Easter this year is April 20th, so should be plenty hot by then - as well as very crowded.

The two Easter weeks this year are from April 13 to April 26. Later than usual and thus likely a little warmer than usual. Expect temperatures in the mid-80's and some days into the 90's. Evenings are usually fairly pleasant because the stifling summer humidity has not set in yet. You can get rain -- usually a couple of thunderstorms overnight or ealy morning. As for events, the resorts usually have Easter Egg hunts on Easter morning. MK has an "Easter" parade, meaning the daily parade at 3 with Easter theme floats added, that runs the week before Easter and on Easter. There will be some additional decorations but Disney does not treat Easter like Christmas and for the most part just treats it as spring break weeks that are very crowded. As to the crowd question above, it is extremely crowded both the week before Easter and the week that begins with Easter -- largest crowds of the year along with Christmas week. Memorial Day weekend and a few days surrounding it are very crowded -- but the Easter time crowds (both weeks) make that Memorial Day time look like the slowest of off seasons.

Hi,

Drusba covered most of it!! We were there last year the week leading up to Easter. We knew from reading info here and elsewhere that it would be crowded and it certainly was. W/ FP, Ps's, and lots of planning on my part we did everything we wanted to do. Crowds increased all week up to Good Friday (our last day there). I think I was expecting much worse, so I wasn't so disappointed.

The weather last year was beautiful, but it was the end of March -- in the 80s and only a few drops of rain one afternoon.

Whenever you choose, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time!
