Hi :)

Just wanted to see whether anyone else was heading out the same time as us.

We travel out from Gatwick with Virgin on 13 November and return on the 28th, staying at Saratoga springs.

Last time when we went for our honeymoon we travelled half way across the world and in the room next to ours at Pop century was a family who lived just up the road from us!

UPDATED: Silly me! Meant November 2014 not 2013!:surfweb:

We aren't going in November but we will be there in october. October/November is a lovely time to go.

Following on from your 'small world' story above, we were in Islands of Adventure eating ice-cream one year when my daughters' Uncle and cousin walked straight past us. We had no idea they were even going at the same time as us. And last October, we were checking in at MCO to come home and my son's best friend from school and his family were at the check-in desk next to us.

YAY WE ARE:cool1:

We are going early November this year and return on 19th. Last year we basically did the same dates as you but we want to catch the F&W this year. November is by far my most fav time of the year to go. :goodvibes

Wow - definitely a small world!!

Everyone I have spoken to has said that November is a good time to go :) is it still Tshirt & shorts weather or is it a bit colder?

I'm gutted we'll miss the f&w festival, didn't think of that when I booked it.

Hello,
Myself and partner are going 20-30th October staying CBR.
we are taking his youngest Daughter 16. His oldest Daughter 20 will be there working on the Disney College program.

it will be my second visit and i am hooked.....

The later you go in November the more likely you'll need layers. Last year when we went your dates it was really fantastic weather during the day and cool in the evening. BUT on some evenings it got very cold very quickly. TBH though, you might have weather where its hot during the day and warm in the evenings. So be prepared and take a jacket with you even if its hot when you walk outside the door! BE PREPARED is my advise. :)

Going 25/10 - 9/11.. I can't wait, this is going to be my honeymoon. Last year I proposed to my Girlfriend at WDW so a honeymoon seemed like a justifiable excuse to go back so soon!

If anyone around then would be interested in sharing an illuminations cruise let me know, we did a wishes cruise last year and it was simply fantastic. The weather was almost perfect for us (a tiny bit hot) but only got rain on our last day.

We are planning on flying out 18/11 and staying for 2 week but we haven't booked as I want to see if the free dining comes out in August again (last time we booked and then come August the room was discounted plus we missed out on free dining and the $100 gift card).

We realised today that we will be there over thanksgiving, does anyone know if stuff outside of Disney is open that day or are we stuck in crowds for the day?

Hoping to stay at CBR or OKW.

An illuminations cruise? not heard of this! I'm off to google it now! :rotfl:

November 14 to 29 for us, but we will be leaving Orlando for my parents' house for Thanksgiving on the 25th. Thanksgiving on a beach with not too many people and most of those family sounded better for my kids' first American Thanksgiving.

The whole week of Thanksgiving is meant to be pretty busy, so it might be worth reconsidering your dates Jellifer. A week earlier is supposed to be a lot better if you can do it.

We got 28/10-14/11

We did 20/11-05/12 last year and we found it a little busy so going early this year

Hi, we are staying at OKW from 30th Oct for 14 nights, can't wait! :wave2:

We can't change dates because of my work so it's November or waiting until next April but OH can't book over a year in advance so I don't want to risk it.

I don't mind it being busy, we are thinking of booking a thanksgiving dinner, chilling at the hotel that day and maybe visiting a few of the other resorts instead of going to the parks.

I have checked the crowd calendars and the few days after are busy too so we might go to the malls (not on Black Friday I know lol), visit the space centre and there's a few things OH wants to do that are non disney so hopefully we can ride over the worst of the busy days by doing those.

Speaking of other things does anyone know where we can visit a gun range?

Ahhh...a few people going at a similar time to us.

I'm addicted to planning and already thinking about booking another one as soon as we come back! :rotfl2:

My MIL is joining us for the first week of our two week stay, so I need to have a look at things I could book for just me and DH one evening, make the most of some adult time.

An after-dark tour would be fab! Going to have a bit of a hunt around and see what I can find. Alternatively, I'll just book us a double massage, as we are staying at the SSR&S that sounds heavenly!

You'll be fine for Thanks Giving week. Yes it's busy but it's manageable. What I would suggest is plan what you really really don't want to miss in the parks and do that in week one. The rest you can fit in during the next week. On thanks giving day itself that would be an excellent time to visit the resorts and maybe book yourself a meal in one of them. We spent TG last year in SeaWorld and yes it was busy but because there are a lot of shows to see it didn't really matter it just meant the shows were fuller. :) The whole of TG week is busy but we noticed a lot of people started going home on the Friday of that week. I wouldn't hesitate to go that time again, its just busier then the rest of November. :goodvibes

We're going to be there from the 16th for a week after our cruise. Got back from hols yesterday so got to throw myself into next hol to get over hol blues.

Talking of small world, on 3 separate hols we've bumped into Dh's best friend from school at Macy's in the Florida mall, drying off outside splash mountain we bumped into my sisters ex finances sister and another time again at splash mountain in the fast pass queue I saw someone I used to work with.
