Im finally going back!!! when we go it will be three years since our last one!!:cool1:

I am wondering whether three years really is a long time to wait, especially for disney maniacs like me??

And a quick question while i can: could i go see wishes on the night we get here after a long and tiring journey? will i have enough energy?:confused3

I booked TODAY! It is my first trip back since 2008! I was a cast member on the Disney College Program in 2004 so this has felt like an eternity!! But I'm finally going home in February 2013 :cloud9:

I went every year from 1990-2005. I went off to college and never had time to take off for vacation. This past January 2012 my mother's side of the family decided to have a family reunion at WDW. It was like returning home again and I feel like being away made me appreciate it so much more. There were new attractions I had never seen before. I already have my next trip planned though I missed it sooooo much. I am taking my BF for the first time he has NEVER been before so this is going to be very exciting for me!!! I get to let him make all the decisions hooorayyyy! :thumbsup2

I honestly do not know how I made it thus far...seriously...LOL
I have been to WDW every 6 months since I was 3 and to not go at all for 6 years was seriously depressing. NO JOKE! I know that sounds so conceited but I was so lucky to have parents who bought DVC in 1991 and we were very lucky to go multiple times a year. Like I said I went of to college and got a job and good lord!!! HELLO REAL WORLD!!! My DBF & I tried saving for a vacation and the prices just kept going up...up...and AWAY!!! Finally we have gotten to a point where we can afford a lovely vacation and we are absolutely thrilled! I wish you the best on your next WDW trip!

P.S. Just listen to LOTS of area loops and regularly check back to the DIS to see what's new. It doesn't fill the void but at least help tie you over to your next visit.

I am going back in September and its been 4 years since my last trip! I have never gone this long between trips, but it was hard to get anyone to go with me.. so this year, I've had it!! I am going on my first solo trip and I am going to enjoy every minute of it! I am super excited.. and a good friend of mine will be down the same dates and all so I will be spending time with him also! 4 years was much too long!!!! :)

My husband and his family visited WDW every few years when he was a kid.. I had never been :sad: until after we had our first child, and I have been hooked ever since. Our first trip was in 2000-off property then our second was in 2003-off property as well. It wasn't until 2011 (8 years and 3 more children later) until we were able to go back. What a blast! We stayed at the BLT and absolutely LOVED it. Now, we can't see ourselves doing it any other way and we are planning a trip in August 2013. We can't wait! :woohoo::mickeybar:dogdance:

My first trip there was on my honeymoon in 1987. Made it back for the 2nd time with my kids in 1999. I'm finally going back for my third trip next year. Way too long in between. Hopefully I'll now be able to make it back every couple years.

We finally get a chance to go back! It has been 3 years! My first visit was in 2006 and my plan was to go at least once a year - well, we did go in 07 and we missed 08 but went twice in 09. I am so very excited to be going back - and we are going for Christmas (a week or so before the holidays!)! I have always wanted to be in Disney for the holiday celebrations!! I will be worth the wait - I am sure!!! I have had it booked since last August!!!

last trip was december 2008 - by the time we're back next october 2013, it will have been 5 years away - feels like an eternity!!!

I have quite a lengthy space between my first and second visits. I went in April 1995 for the first time. My second trip was this April! that's a 17 year interim! Never again! I've already booked another trip for this October!:cool1:

On Friday we will be booking our Sept 2013 trip, we normally go every other year but decided to do a cruise this year and put Disney off a year because we wanted to go once all the fantasy land expansion was complete. My Disney alarm must be set because I am feeling the pull to go and should only have a little over a month :( We enjoyed out cruise but I can't wait till next year now.... We will be there around the same time!!... and I will be planning until we leave..lol!! :cool1:

1st trip August 2000...fast forward 11 years, 5 months...2nd trip January 2012..it was awesome as we got to take our 2 granddaughters for their 1st trip and so many things were new and different.

It was so hard being away from Disney that long and after being back in January I realized how much I had missed it. My dh is not as much a Disney person and for him a few trips in his lifetime will be enough. So my dd and I are taking the granddaughters again in Sept for MNSSHP without dh who is happy staying home.

2 trips in 1 year thanks to free dining both times and airfare credits!:banana::banana:

3 years for us, almost exactly, and it feels like it's been too long. But with other stuff going on, there is no way we could have gone before December 2012. Of course we had sort of planned it before we left in December 2009, as our "If the world ends, I want to be in Disney" trip. My friends all think I'm crazy, but Disney is the only "real" vacation we've taken. I'm sure as my DD gets older, there are other places we'll want to take her as well, so every 3 years or more will probably be normal. :(

Oh, well. It does make going back that much more of an adventure! :)

As a kid I went every 2-3 years, but last time I went my DS was a couple months old. He has gone once after with my DM. But this is our 1st DISNEY FAMILY vacation it's my DD's 1st time ever & and Dad & Stepmom are joining us. My Dad is so excited that he can share that moment when my DD sees the castle on Main St..he says it'll remind him of the 1st time he took me over 30yrs ago :(
Disney makes for the BEST family moments.
I remember when my parents divorced..my mom decided we were moving from FL to NJ..and to "cushion" the trauma, sadness, and emotions..we drove straight to Disney & all my uncles & aunts & cousins & grandma met us @ Disney...Disney makes everything a lil bit better. :)

Well, it's been 20 years for me. Last time was when I was 15, and it was a complete surprise for the whole family. My grandpa had booked for about 8 of us from our family to go, but we didn't know he did. He died of a heart attack not long after booking our vacation. Then, a few months later, my grandma got our package in the mail with all our tickets. It was a VERY bittersweet trip, knowing he should have been with us.

So here I am, 20 years later. After 12 years of marriage, my husband finally bought me a Mickey ornament at Christmas and gave me the go-ahead to plan. We're staying for 10 days at CBR in February, during my birthday. It's gonna be SWEEEEEEET!

We went in 2007 after 8 L O N G years......it was awesome....and so much had changed !!!! Since then, I've been back 5 times with another trip in 2 weeks, and one in the planning stage for next year.

I'm going soon for the first time since Dec. 2011, which to me feels like FOREVER! I'm very fortunate to go back fairly often for a family that lives far from the Mouse, as in once a year or every other year.

15 YEARS since my last trip!!!! So basically it's like I've never been!! My last trip was with my parents when I was about 15 years old and as I turn 30 next year (gulp) it's my first trip as and adult AND as chief planner
