Anyone getting discounted rates on Dec. 18th?

Wondering if anyone who's staying at WDW with dates including Dec. 18th is getting discounted rates for that night--either through a room-only discount on a reservation that starts before the 18th, through a PIN code, the 4/3 deal, or whatever.

DH and I are currently booked to check out on the 18th, but were thinking of extending our stay another night, and I wanted to find out my fellow DISers' experience with this.

Yes, our AP room discount is valid through 12/24. So every night of our trip Dec. 17-26 is discounted except for Christmas night.

Ok. Now I have to decide if the extra night is worth it. I'm assuming the crowd levels on the 18th and 19th must be pretty intense. Yes?

I haven't booked our return flight yet, so I'm wavering, wavering, wavering. I mean, an extra day at WDW. Hmmm.

Just wanted to let you all know that I did book the extra night (12/18). I mean, how can we resist another night/day at WDW? We can't!

We did indeed get a discount for the 18th, however, it was discounted from the Holiday Season rate, so there was still a bit of sticker shock, since the room costs about $100 more for the night than any of the previous 6 nights cost. Nevertheless, it was still hugely cheaper than rack rate, so that was good.

I even bought our return tickets today. So now we know that we're going...and that we're coming back!

We'll be there at the same time. We're staying at Pop.

we have 40% off thru 12/31, yep, even NYE! It really helps as we have to pay the 3rd adult fee for our 19 year old ! Still a pricey trip due to Holiday rates, but the catch 22...off site cheaper but not our preference with Holiday crowds, traffic, no EMH..CSR is running about 168 tax included for us w/adult fee for dates after 12/25.

Congrats on staying your extra night! I arrive on the 18th and still feel I got a decent AP rate at POR for 139....100 less than rack rate....POP was 117 for a preferred room...all that was available for values...just pref at Sports and Pop.

I booked 12/13 to 12/19 @ WL with free dining, but changed to 12/13 to 12/20 when the 4/3 deal came out. Decided to buy DDP. Then I used the 40% room only deal to book 2 additional nights @ CBR because DS and DH really wanted to stay in a Pirate room. All totaled - the 9 nights cost $100 more than the original 6 nights.
