Anyone get through for free dining yet today?

Finally got through after being disconnected by automated system twice, but I have FREE DINING

upgraded from POP to POR water view room 9/25 thru 10/5. This cost about $500 more than upgrading from qs dining to regular dining but now I dont have to worry about cost of food, AND get a bigger room.

I am definitely happy.

There should be a meet for all the people who wanted to book at POP and ended up at ASSp, seems like there is quite a few of us

Guy I talked to said they didn't release any more rooms to the general public, apparently we just got the left overs from the visa card deal.

Ok. I called at 7:00 am, waited on hold until someone finally picked up at 7:58 and promptly dropped my call. I was talking to her about my reservation, and next thing I know the automated guy is asking if I want to take a survey! I'll give you a survey! After a few choice words to the gods, I called back and waited on hold for another 45 minutes. The CM who finally handled me was awesome and expeditious. I had been reading how slow their system was, but I was only on the line with her for maybe 10 minutes. Probably only half of that time was adding the free dining to my reservation.

So we are finally set! CSR, standard room, 8/26-9/2. Woohoo!

That isn't true. With the DV I couldn't get anyhting less than a river view room at POR. Now there is a garden and preferred. Also the royal rooms now have a standard room.
ASMo is now coming up also.

i booked 2 Royal rooms Sept 1-6th POR whilst DH waited on hold we hung up after we booked the second room and i linked the reservations.

We were able to get FD added to our garden view room at Poly reservation. A friend was also able to get FD added to her Pirate themed room at CBR. Another friend was unable to get it at AoA (knew this was going to happen).

I have seen on this thread where a few in AS Movies have been lucky enough to get the FD.

I'm booked at Movies for the last week of September through AAA - but for hotel only because we got YES tickets. However there was a thread explaining that you could get FD and just save the required 2 base ticket purchase for another visit. If so, it might work in our favor! But only if we can get AS Movies, my DD's heart is set on that.

Now we just have to wait on the AAA agent... I think he's tired of me

If this doesn't work out he's going to be even more tired of me when room only discounts come out!

We're booked for ASMu for Aug 25-31st. We were offered any of the All Star resorts, but ASMo only have preferred rooms, and I didn't care that much. I was on hold for an hour!

I am on the phone with the most helpful CM I could ask for. She's got me on hold right now so she can figure out how to do this split stay for me without messing up my flights, which would lose me money. Pray I don't get disconnected !!!

Just added FD to my reservation for YC Garden View, Sept. 16-22! I upgraded to Deluxe Dining

AHH!! I just went online to price out my vacation I just waited AN HOUR on the phone to book just to make sure.(All Star Music was what we booked b/c she said POP wasn't available).

But online I was able to book POP for free dining? What the heck? So I booked it too, and I'll have to call back to cancel my previous package...so irritated that I wasted an hour this morning on hold (not to mention the long distance charges!).

We're checking in on 8/23 and leaving 8/29. How much of a pain would it be to book just the room for 8/23 and 8/24, then book with free for the rest of the trip? I know it would be 2 separate ressies. Would they make me change rooms?

I just was messing around online and was able to pull POP up for aug 25th-sept 1st both standard and preffered rooms! so Im guessing some rooms are opening up as people upgrade to mods so its worth going back and double checking if you have your heart set on POP

We did that last yr just have them link the ressies together that way they can usually keep you in the same room. Especially since it will be a lower crowd time period!

Same here. My dates are 8/25 to 9/3 pop is now up. We love pop but choose to upgrade to a moderate this year anyway. But we actually prefer the QSDP so now I'm second guessing myself.

Trying for POFQ either standard or garden, got POR garden.

How often should I check to see if my first choice is available so I can change?

Just booked August 26-30 at POR for our family of 6(kids-9,8,5 and 1) in a preferred. CM said that was last preferred for that time and the only ones left were for water view. No standards left.
