Or did they just not offer that category at all this discount rate deal? Not including cheapest rooms and lesser discount on weekend than week days... the times they are a changing! :sad2:

I saw it available on Orbitz. I got RO for the royal room - garden view.

I called and priced standard room and upgrade...I was given pricing for both with the Visa discount. It wasn't much more to upgrade to the Royal room standard view, so I did that. But considering I was given the option, it looks as if standard was available for my dates in March. (Room only)

The standard they are offering on Orbitz, I think, is a Royal Guest Room Standard view, at least that's where they have it placed, and it's $32 more than a Garden View so I know that's not a normal standard room.

Hmmm... I called twice during the Visa discount period and both times they said they didn't see any Standard offered. Then this morning online I see also that Standard isn't included. Now I'm talking the cheapest room, not the Royal Guest Room standard.

Depends on your dates. They have the plain standard room available for my dates. I went with the Royal because I know what two buildings they are in, and don't have to worry about requesting a building.

I saw it on orbitz too, also ended up getting the royal room garden view

I think that's a better choice. Both buildings that house the royal rooms are close to the main building. If you book a standard, you don't know where you may end up.

Ok thanks. We're going March 5-10 so that could be the problem.

really? I didn't even know that lol, I just booked it cause I have 2 super girly girls :rotfl:

I booked Monday and had very few options for mid February. I had to take a pool view, which is a lame category. There aren't to many of these rooms to begin with, but it was the cheapest. Looking at today's options, there isn't much left. With Disney discounts, they offer rooms that aren't selling. It's like a sale. If occupancy rates for certain room categories are filled, they don't need to discount them.

As for Orbitz, what I saw available this morning, was the same room types Disney was offering. Basically, no standards.

There were quite a few options this morning. In fact, I was suprised at how many resorts had availability for mid-February.

My dates are 3/10-17 - When I first asked, I asked for standard. The lady gave me pricing with discount and then asked if I knew about the Royal rooms, and gave me pricing. The difference ended up only $11 more per night for Royal room. It sounds like it's generally a larger increase than that...so maybe she really priced something like a garden view? I honestly can't say if in fact made a mistake, but I did request standard. I booked the Royal room standard, but then called back to upgrade to garden view royal room and it was only $30 more for the entire 7 nights.

I have gotten very inconsistent information thought about a few things. I'd try to call again and ask. Sorry, I can't actually confirm standard rooms are avail, since I did choose to upgrade, but was told they were. Good luck! Very frustrating I'm sure to hear different things from different people and CM's.

Anyone know what would be closer to food court and bar, king bed room or royal quest standard view??
