Anyone for HHI 2011? Roll call time!

Driving from Philadelphia area to Bonita Springs, thought we would break up the trip a bit...will stop 2 nights at HHI and 2 nights OKW...we're VWL owners and this will be our first stay at HHI and OKW for us (2 Adults only this trip). Looking forward to both stays.

I had to cancel our December 1 night HHI stay. We'll be booking Memorial day weekend next year. This December we're going to visit our family who recently moved to Florida, and the more nights with them, the better!

First trip to HHI. 10/25-10/29/11. This was the only 4 consecutive night stay in a studio for the month of October that was available when I called today. It will be just DW and I. Any suggestions for activities, restaurants, tours, etc?

DH has assured me that we will use our Chase card "miles" to buy the plane tickets for next year's stay. We have NO plans for this Memorial day, I can't believe we let that holiday pass without a trip planned! Have a great time....Simba's mom recommended Sea Shack and we really enjoyed their food.

boo-hoo, we couldn't get in during the time that worked with our work schedules! 2012 definately!

We have a 2 br reserved 5/20 thru 5/28 we are driving down from pa next Thursday. We will drive as far as we can thurs then find somewhere to stay. I am hoping that it will be a short drive on fri morning :) I called today to request a marsh view and the cm asked me if I wanted to request a specific building. I have never been there before so I have no idea where I want to be? Any suggestions?
Also, is there anything that you have found to bring or that you wished you brought that made it easier for you? I saw a suggestion that someone posted that they should have brought potholders. Things like that.
How about bike rentals, we will need 4 regular bikes and two adult 3 wheelers, is there any place that rents 3wheelers?
Thanks so much for any help you can give me! I am so looking forward to going I don't even think I will mind the 14 or 15 hour drive:yay:

Sorry for the delay.

Last year, the front desk aimed us at Pazzo, a small Italian place across 278 from the resort. We were very pleased, but, it's not elegant. Just good food.

You have to come to Savannah and spend Money!

Activities. ALL of the stuff at the resort is fun. Pick and choose as you like. We specially like the camp fire and the good night story time.
We also like just sitting in a hammock.

Count my family of 3 in we are going June 24 to July 1. This is our first time there and we are so excited.

Dh and I will be there 10/1-5. We had a big WDW trip planned with the kids, but decided to do a parents only trip instead. We'll take the kids to WDL next summer which they are very excited about as they have never been there.

We can't wait. It will be our second trip there. Staying in a 1bd.

Sorry for the delay, I just noticed your post. :(

Must dos history style!

Ft. Pulaski out on Beach Rd. You can spend hours out there. it's about 10 miles out of town, but, worth the extra drive. If you go to the very south end of HHI, you can see the Fort across the marsh.

Almost all of downtown Savannah has some historical importance. Just look for the olive color history markers.

The Ships of the Sea, Savannah History Museum, the Springhill Redoubt and
the train station roundhouse are in a strip of a few blocks on MLK. Many hours here too.

Colonial Cemetery, Laural Grove Cemetery and Bonaventure Cemetery (yeh the one from THE Book). Many famous folks there.

Give me some guidance and I'll get you other places.
