We leave next Saturday for 5 nights. We have never been to HHI so we are super excited. We have a 2 yr old and a 12 year old. Can't wait!!!

We are closing out 2011 with a stay from 12/31 until 1/6/2012.

I really hope to visit Savanna this trip and am planning to eat at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House. I was a GS and a GS leader, may have to check out the Lowe house, but those nighttime tours sound great too.

Other than that, I want to visit more restaurants on HHI, hoping some are still open when we're there.

Still waitlisted for August...we call every day or so---not holding out much hope. It will be the first year we won't be able to go in several years unless we get a miracle waitlist coming through! Summer isn't the same without HHI!

Our dates have changed to October 2-7 (moved it back one day and then added a day). Can't wait to be in my favorite place!!!

Can't wait wll be our first. Never been to HHI & we live in Charleston, SC.. We spend too much time @ WDW/DCL, time to try something new.

Any help with a room request for a 2br? TIA

Just a heads up for any of those other August travelers. We are at HHI Aug 6-12 and then heading up to Charleston for a few days. We will be flying both ways and b/c of that cannot bring a lot of beach gear, so if anyone is coming before and has any items that they would like to pass along, we would welcome it. But, also if anyone is coming after us and would like some beach gear passed along to them(since it won't fly home with us), please let me know. I know we will most likely buy sand toys, cooler, and maybe some chairs and boogie boards. It seems that if I can find them at Walmart that it will be cheaper than renting. So, just looking to share the wealth if anyone else is interested, let me know. Thanks! We are soooo looking forward to this trip.

Just made my 2012 ressies! When we were at OKW last week we talked to Rich who used to be head of recreation at HH. He is loving OKW, but still misses the group at HH.
