Anyone file their taxes yet?

I filed and was accepted on Jan 19 and it says my refund will be there by Feb 10th? That is a Wedensday!? I am confused, it said my deposit date was 1-30. I guess I will just hope it is there tomorrow morning.

I just woke up with a head cold & decided to check & yup our money is there ! The website had been corrected to 1/30 & my $ is there ! So very happy not about the head cold but the refund. We need a new barbecue, stock up at BJ's, new tires for DH car & to pay for mini 2 day vacation to Seaworld over Valentines weekwnd. The rest is going to the savings acct.

Woohoo! Ours is there too! We're getting a new TV and some bookcases at IKEA. Paying a few bills as well.

Ours did not show up......IRS website still says today. However the turbotax bank that transfers the money says it did not get deposited and is expected 1 week from now. UGh

You paid your fee out of your refund? I learned my lesson from that last year. NEVER do it again!!

Mine isn't there yet, but my bank doesn't update until 11am. I hope it's there!! I'm eager to pay off some CC bills today and we're supposed to go to an indoor waterpark later for the weekend. If it's not, we're not going!

Yeah! My credit union must have just put their computers online cause I just got our tax return and my DH's direct deposit all at the same time!

My electronic acceptance notice and everything else has said 1/30/09 the entire time but it didn't deposit today. I just checked the IRS website and now it's saying 2/10/09. That's on a Wednesday like Corjack said in a post below. I thought refunds were only done on Friday's? Anyone have a clue?

That probably means you will get it the Friday before the 10th (6th).

Mine was there!! I just paid off 5 credit cards!!

Ugh...I soooo wish we could file already!!! We're still waiting on all the documents we need..his w-2's, my w-2's and mortgage interest statement.. I'm hoping by the end of this week I'll be able to get them done..
One thing I'm still debating...should I spend another $260 to have H&R Block do them, or do I just go with Turbo Tax....I'm leaning towards doing it myself.. I can look at last year's return as a guide...

We need every penny of our refund...it's paying for our May trip!

If you can do it online! MUCH faster!!! I did mine last Saturday (1/24) and got my STATE refund yesterday and Federal is due 2/6!!!! (BTW, by law you all should have ALL of your forms by TOMORROW at the latest!!!) My FEDERAL is taking me and my DS to DW!!!! I can't WAIT!!!

Well I don't have my federal refund back. I am not suppose to get it until the 6th but I was pleasantly surprise when I got my state refund back!! Yeah! It is not that much but I was able to pay off my son's orthodontic bill and had some left over to pay off another doctor bill. Yeah!

Now my federal is my bigger refund. Can't wait to get that. A portion of that is going to my cat's vet (both cats need a teeth cleaning) and paying off my Dh's dental bill. Then the rest is going into savings

I wish I could file my taxes but, I still haven't received my w-2 from work. I think it's being held hostage at the Post office because they are without power from our recent ice storm!! GRRRR!!!

Minnesota is ALWAYS really quick on refunds...I have never waited over a week to get my refunds!

Does anyone know...previously people were saying to wait till after like the 15th of February to file taxes because of this stimilus Obama is trying to put through. Is there validity to that? I really don't want to have to amend my taxes if something were to pass. Thoughts?!?!

I'm not 100% sure, BUT! even if we got the stimulus, that SHOULD be counted as income from THIS year. You are doing your taxes based on your income from LAST year.
That said, I don't believe that any stimulus funds "should" even be "counted" as income NEXT year. But I'm not sure about THAT at all.

I got a call yesterday afternoon saying they were finishing up the 1099's and would be sending them out this morning. I called to see when I could get my taxes done, at 2 today. I called back my former work place and asked if I could come right up to pick the 1099 up. They said yes

So now I am just patiently waiting to go have my taxes done I will post later when they are done and if I am getting back what I "need".
